I recently visited Sushi Train in Minneapolis, near St. Louis Park, and it was an outstanding experience! The restaurant truly embodies the essence of modern Tokyo with its vibrant and interactive atmosphere. The innovative tracking technology they use to ensure the freshness of each dish on the delivery belt is impressive. The highlight of our visit was the incredible hospitality. Our waitress, Winnie, was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. A special mention to one of the staff members' daughters, Olivia, who was so friendly with my daughter Benedetta. They had a great time together, as you can see from the attached photo of them. As for the food, the Salmon Sashimi was absolutely top-notch – I could pretty much eat that all day! The Everything Roll was fun and delicious, and though I tried another roll, the sashimi truly stood out for its freshness and quality. While the freshness of the food is excellent, what makes Sushi Train a real treat to visit is the wonderful staff. Their genuine hospitality makes the dining experience truly memorable. Highly recommend visiting Sushi Train for both the fantastic food and the amazing service! A happy customer, Geoffrey Serdar

Sushi Train is a pretty good and convenient spot if you're craving a sushi night! Their space is clean, their staff are very nice and helpful, and the sushi is of pretty decent quality. In particular, I really enjoyed their seared salmon nigiri, their yellowtail nigiri, and their firecracker roll. The textures of the firecracker roll were great—the raw tuna inside paired with the crunch of the fried shallot outside was delicious. I also like that they very clearly label everything coming down the conveyor belt, it makes it quick to tell what I'm interested in trying. The conveyor belt experience is nice as well because each plate only comes with 2-4 sushi portions (from a roll), so it allows you to try a greater variety of different rolls. I visited the other Sushi Train in downtown Minneapolis a few years ago and this location was definitely a superior experience. Overall I think this spot is actually one of the better conveyor belt sushi restaurants I've been to. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a tasty and convenient sushi meal!

I don’t think they really advertised their opening / new location. Which I’m guessing is why it was so slow, compared to the MOA sushi belt restaurant. The server we had was attentive and nice. The place was clean and not too loud. The sushi belt itself could have used better lighting, rather than the colour changing LED lights that they had going on. The selection that was rotating on the belt was pretty small, tbh. They also had a menu to order off of, but we really come for that’s on the belt, right!? I know they rely on people to take the items in order to put out new/fresh items, but some things were not popular and just sat there, rotating, for the entire time we were there. I’m not sure what they do with items like that… 🤔 Very basic items. Nothing that made me go 😮 or 👀 Overall, I think I like the MOA sushi belt restaurant more. Though they have a smaller location, their items seem better and overall more fun.

So i have been coming to sushi train since they opened in Nicollet ave downtown Minneapolis. i usually love to dine in , but recently of been doing take out. i have gotten to know the new host Bebe very well. she is very sweet and down to earth. her coworkers two other women who are servers are not so sweet. probably the 4th time this month I've spent close to 30 dollar or more and tipped more than 20% on take out oders. Because BEBE!! is such an amazing host.

Today i was mean mugged by the two severs simultaneously as i entered the establishment. i had barley been in the space 1 minute. I see Bebe and let her know my usually. i mentioned that her coworkers didn't seem to like me. Being the sweet heart that she is. She brushed it off and said they were just busy.

As i was ordering one of the severs pretended to Interrupt us. saying she needs Bebe in the back for somethings. Told her to come help when she was finished up. I finished my oder and began to wait. Shortly after i was approached by one of the mean servers.

She handed me my bag and asked if I had gotten my drink. I said yes and she said have a good day. I sat down for a second and looked at my phone. She was obviously waiting for me to leave and asked again if i needed anything else. I said no i was going to say good bye to the hostess Bebe.

The sever than tell me shes not coming back out and she'll make sure to let her know (doubtful). Than tells me to have a nice day again. All in a matter of 1 minutes i was obviously being rushed out the store. So i dont know how else to put this having rude staff and staff that obviously are bullies makes for a super uncomfortable experience for patrons.

Why would i spend money in a establishment where the severs are so bold as to mean mug me as customers. why would i spend money in place where an employee is being punished for being approachable and kind. Shes the host, so what i am having some light conversations with her as i wait for my food.

If i noticed other people are gonna notice. Tell them women to go find a desk job somewhere since they clearly dont have good customer service skills.

Not to mention it was slow today 4 tables and 2 servers so pretty manageable since they're barley doing any servers cause the food is like right in your face. so again why am i being rushed out and treated like a burden?

I have worked on and off in the service industry for 10 plus years. One things that runs off good employees is bad employees/ management. Not rude guests, Not wild people off the street, Not picky people, none of its actually realted to the customer so much as the staff. if you let these women continue to be rude to not only guest, but staff your goning to run off your good customer service oriented staff. Bebe is a keeper shes is and excellent host. I'd to see her leave beacuse of...

This place is so great! BUT you have to know what kind of sushi you are coming for!!! Sushi train has delicious and afforadable sashimi which honestly is the main reason we come and our kids are free to explore without committing to large amounts of food. We have found this to be a super fun, affordable and safe way for our kiddos to get into sushi. The conveyor belt systems allows them to see what they would get and decide! Now are there better more high end places - yes. But I can get FULL here for half the price and the food is delicious. From time to time, we have noticed some fish is better tasting some days than others. particularly their tuna. Their salmon sashimi always hits just right!!! We did venture and get an alcoholic beverage this last round, which were okay. Maybe we got the wrong ones hahaha but probably not the best place for drinks. Kids love the japanese sodas though! The staff is certainly a bragging point! They are always kind and efficient. This last time we went we noticed a family speaking ASL and the way they were treated was incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure communication was good. I have brought my son with physical and mental disabilities here and he is always treated kindly and with just as much respect as I. We also have a kid who is neurodivergant and sushi and NOT in their cards. So we brought outside food and they didn't throw a fuss at all which I was so thankful for. I hate having to explain ourselves. Will definitely continue to come...
