Tonight's experience was very poor with the employees of Mochinut. We stopped in around 8:30 P.M. We ordered half a dozen doughnuts (three fruity pebbles, two chocolate churros, and a strawberry), and 3 hot dogs (hot cheeto, ramen noodles, and potato). As we sat at our table, we were told by an employee that a customer behind us had also ordered one of the three remaining fruity pebble doughnuts, insinuating that we should give them that doughnut and get a different one. We decided to swap for a mango flavored doughnut to be nice. While waiting for our order to be completed, the same employee then proceeds to give us the other customers food. We gave the food back to the confused employee. Ten minutes later he comes back to us with our correct doughnuts, but only brings the hot cheeto hotdog, and a boba tea that we did not order. This employee was either very tired or possibly under the influence of something, based on his actions. He was very confused and out of sorts. There was a point where he closed his eyes and appeared to nod off for almost thirty seconds. Finally, another employee (I'm guessing the manager) stepped in and corrected the order. Overall; the service was very disorganized, strung out, and unprofessional. I should not have to clarify my order multiple times and have incorrect orders delivered multiple times when there are only two other parties in the establishment. Other than these strange errors, the food was ok. We would suggest the fruit themed doughnuts, and the potato hotdog. The other doughnuts were bland in flavor. The hot cheeto hot dog was mushy and the ramen noodle hotdog was bland as well. The store definitely has potential in this neighborhood with its food creativity and service. Unfortunately this was a bad...
Read moreI rarely review a place if I didn't like it, but in this instance, I feel the need to give everyone a heads up. The place was clean, service was friendly, good music was playing. But the doughnuts?? They were ridiculously overpriced and very simplistic. The texture of the doughnuts was ok. They were a bread doughnut. I had the tiramisu which had a normal caramel glaze on the top and, what I assume, was supposed to be coffee powder. It tasted nothing like tiramisu. In fact it tasted like nothing; quite flavorless. The same for the strawberry funneling and the chocolate churro. The ingredients simply didn't taste anything like they cost. The tea was good. But $28 for 3 doughnuts that were far below average and 2 cans of tea is too much even in this economy. I try to avoid chains and this is one chain I will definitely not return to...
Read moreTasty donuts, super friendly workers, and a little bit of seating if you need a place to stop too. The chocolate (dubai I think?) and churro donuts were both so good, unique slightly chewy texture, and the shape makes it easy to eat without getting frosting on your face! Prices are a bit steep but not unreasonable for the area. The clerk was so friendly, and happy to use my own takeout container. Seating area is minimal but works in a pinch, with their long hours it was great to stop and jump on a zoom when I didn't have time to get home first. Steady stream of customers even after 7 on a weeknight but...
