I am highly disappointed with the service I received today. I am a repeat customer and have even recommended this restaurant to multiple people who have become repeat customers. I made an order through ChowNow and did not realize that I hadn’t put a note for no cheese to be included on my order as ChowNow does not list any ingredients on the menu. Once I realized there was cheese I quickly returned and requested if they could remake the order, which was a small one 3 kids taco meals, and was requesting it be remade for medical reasons (I have a severe dairy allergy in my household) The manager refused to have the order remade because “they cannot waste food” which makes 0 sense as the order I had was being wasted anyways since we couldn’t eat the food. I then asked for a refund and he literally asked me WHY. Obviously because we can’t eat the food nor will they accommodate me so I paid for absolutely nothing. Tried to call ChowNow and they refused to give permission to ChowNow to refund me. When I asked for the owner’s information first the manager said he doesn’t know it which I called him out on because how would he not know and then he changed his answer to he can’t give the owners info out to customers. So literally no way for me to make a complaint. I have never experienced such terrible customer service, regardless what the issue “which a health concern should be considered a valid issue” if a customer and as a matter of fact a returning customer is not satisfied with the food they should refund at the least the money. I have had no issues with other restaurants in the market when I’ve needed something remade due to my child’s dairy allergy. I had the same type of issue with Taco Cat once and they were literally closing and said oh no let us remake that for you right away! I am in disbelief that the manager refused to assist in absolutely no way. Definitely will not be spending my money there ever again as the market has so many better options with amazing customer service. I am a strong supporter of Lake Street and have even done work with the Lake Street Council to promote small businesses (which was largely focused on the Global Market) along the Lake Street Corridor, I am literally featured on their site. I very often recommend these very businesses to everyone I know, including my 10k+ followers on my social media as I am an influencer, this is literally my job to recommend my favorite things! So having this type of experience is just so disappointing as a huge supporter of Lake Street small businesses such as Salsa a La Salsa. They had the opportunity to make a mark and show me just why I love supporting however the ball was dropped entirely and I was shown that Salsa a La Salsa has absolutely no concern for their customers. This was a very easy fix, all I requested was for the kids meals to be remade without cheese but good customer service is obviously to much to ask for from...

Decided to try Salsa a la Salsa while visiting Global Food Market. The restaurant wasn't very full but we felt like most places in the market were kinda closing or closed and it was only 6pm.

Anyway, Salsa a la Salsa was pretty good! When we were sat we were promptly given menus, water, and chips with salsa. The waitress was prompt and the other staff kept our water glasses full.

The prices were fair per entree and the food was good! I ordered one of the combos which included a taco, a tamale, and a flauta (subbed) and it came with rice and beans or rice and veggies. I chose the rice and veggies. The meal was $14 and it was a good deal of food. I really enjoyed the tamale a lot, the taco was authentically prepared/dressed, and the flauta chicken was tender (sometimes flautas get dry/are overcooked).

The rice did not taste Mexican there were like peas and carrots in it? But it wasn't bad just not Mexican? The veggies were healthy grilled vegetables which I liked.

The waitress forgot an order of plantains for one of the friends I was with but she took them to go instead. I think we had an overall good experience regardless for the price and value of what we received. Would I call it completely authentic Mexican? No. But if you are okay with that (maybe to cater to general public) then...

This has to be the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever visited. I ordered shrimp tacos and my friend ordered steak tacos. When the food arrived it I realized that there was no cheese on them. I asked for queso and the server said they don't have it. So I asked for some type of cheese and a side of sour cream and more chips. She returns with all the things I asked for. When I received my bill I noticed she charged me 2.50 for cheese 2.50 for sour cream and to make it even worse she charged me 1.50 for the complimentary chips. I questioned her about this and all she said was yea they charge for everything here. I will never visit this place again and the food wasn't even good and wayyy overpriced!! had to use salt and pepper and salsa to give the food any type of flavor. O and my friend steak tacos were the worst tacos we...

There are so many amazing choices for restaurants at the global market, I chose to try a new one today. I looked at the menu at Salsa a la Salsa and was impressed. I like to see unique items that you may net see anywhere else or new variations of classic dishes. I saw that we they offered 3 types of vegetarian tacos (grilled vegetable is the day, vegetarian chorizo and jack fruit). To tried the later two and lives them. As good as meat. The corn tortillas had great flavor and may be home made. I also tried their guacamole and it was perfect. Beans and rice were very good. Chips were ok. Salsas were all good and. Vert distinct from one another and tasty. I recommend trying Salsa a la Salsa for your next meal.

I was so very excited to try Salsa a la Salsa. I really wanted to love it but I'm reluctant to inform fellow folks that it just didn't hit the spot. Maybe it was an off day? The wait staff although nice, were not or did not seem happy ( no big loss in points here ) as they were not rude either, maybe it was a long day? We got a a mix of tacos, including chicken and veggie tacos with soy chorizo with cactus, and carnitas burrito. Overall I was expecting more in flavor and spices. I felt it was on par with Pineda, for flavor, but more expensive. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad, it just didn't wow us to 4-5 stars either.
