My S/O and I visited this place during their grand opening weekend to try out this new spot and take advantage of their buy one get one 50% off deal that was advertised across their social media platforms. After ordering our custom poke bowls and boba it turned out they didn't want to honor the deal because it was only for Saturday and we arrived on Sunday (was not stated in the advertisement). I saw a few other couples that were also declined from receiving deal as we were sitting and waiting for our food. Okay, no big deal but not off to a great start. We sat and waited for about 15-20 minutes for takeout which was rather long considering there was only one individual ahead of us and four employees.
Onto the food and drinks. I had the brown sugar Boba milk tea and it tasted like plain milk with a bit of sugar in it. Very below average boba unfortunately. However, the Thai tea was a bit better. Once we opened our poke we noticed that a few of the toppings we ordered were missing. The avocado which they charged extra for was missing. The overall taste of the poke was pretty average with a very small amount of protein accompanied by a ton of rice. I don't enjoy giving poor reviews especially to a new business starting out but this first time experience was too...
Read moreI got a three protein tuna bowl with white rice. I ordered i through Uber Eats and it was prepared and delivered fairly quickly, with nice presentation. The bowl was very yummy and filling, but the spicy mayo I asked for was very light so the bowl was a bit dry. Would have preferred a bit of a heavier hand with the sauce but I just whipped up some of my own spicy mayo and added it on and it was great. Also, at least on Uber Eats, it would be nice if I could add extra toppings beyond just the included 3. It ended up being fine because it is split into toppings, mixins, and crunches, so the bowl itself had a lot of stuff. But for the toppings, I wanted to add four things instead of three and there was no way to do that -- even if I wanted to pay extra for it. Overall though, very yummy and I'm satisfied with the...
Read moreThis is my first poke outside of Hawaii so I'm probably approaching this like an annoying nerd. My poke bowl was pretty good. I got a large. Scallop was cooked perfectly with a good portion. Salmon was fresh and yummy but 4 sad little cubes. Tuna meh. Jalapeño cut in 1/4" slices while all the other veg is paper thin, which doesn't work. The "Poke Sauce" is a bbq like hoisin-soy-sesame syrup that caught me a little off guard, I'll choose yumyum or ponzu next time for a more traditional taste. Also these are definitely "sushi bowls" or "deconstructed poke" as the proteins and the fresh fruit/veg aren't sauced and put on the rice with toppings added on, its just all seperate and drizzled in sauce but nbd. Overall fresh and filling with good service, 4 stars. I'll...
