We live in the neighborhood and wanted to check out the new Riva Terrace in the new luxury Four Seasons Hotels. The hotel's lobby was nicely decorated and the staff were friendly and attentive. We rode the elevator to the 4th floor and walked out to the terrace. We arrived a bit early of our reservation and were seated right away. Our servers were Richard (a veteran with the hotel by way of London UK) and "trainee" Natalie (a local graduate from Augsburg College) - we were pleased with the level of service provided by all the staff on the terrace. I am not a fan of prosecco, ordered the Crystal Palace cocktail anyway and was very pleased with how it tasted. Our friend enjoyed his First Light cocktail as well. We had Truffle Fries and Eggplant Fries and they were delicious! Our friends order the Grilled Peterson Ranch Skirt Steak Tagliata, and the Albacore Tuna Crudo and were content with their meal. I ordered the Panini (which came with a small arugula salad) and my wife got the Pan-Roasted Skuna Bay Salmon Both were very good. I could not finish the Panini and had it boxed. We finished the lunch with the Hazelnut Ice Cream (1 scoop per person) and that wrapped up the delicious lunch outing. Riva Terrace and its staff gave us a very pleasant first visit. We will be back with another couple next month. 4-star due to a limited menu. Service: dine-in Meal Type: lunch Price per person: $30-$50

Enjoyed a rooftop dinner on with two others last night. A vibrant patio and accompanying pool area for guests’ of the FS. There were multiple tables to be seated at (all with a 4 person capacity), along with bar seating and lounge/couch areas. Our table ordered 3 specialty cocktails ($15/each), the Riva burger, crab cakes (a nightly special) and the grilled Peterson ranch skirt steak tagliata (note; not the pasta tagliatelle). While the food tasted good it didn’t exceed our expectations for being a restaurant in the Four Seasons. Overly dressed salads, and the steak was awfully tough for requesting medium rare. For dessert we had a scoop of mango sorbet and the bongo (Hazelnut Ice Cream Profiteroles, Dark Lava Chocolate Sauce, Toasted Hazelnut). The highlight would have been the bongo dessert. In total our meal cost $147 before tip. Will come back again but perhaps just for cocktails.

We went for our first time to the aperitivo hour. Atmosphere and service was great. The cocktails were just ok. Food: arancinis and fries where tasty but small portions. They don’t specify that the “Choose 3 for $25” are basically half the portion of the regular size appetizer, so you are paying more for less, not what you expect of a happy hour / aperitivo hour. The artichoke dip didn’t taste at all like artichoke.. very bland, and the Allora Spritz was way too watery.

I work next door and go to Mara all the time with friends, we gave this place a shot as it was nice outside.

I can not recommend going here, we had an awful time. The servers were all unknowledgablr and inattentive. Small things just adding up and then waiting 20 minutes for someone to come by.

For example, I asked for a diet coke. She returned with a diet Pepsi. About 10 minutes later when she came by I asked if it was a Pepsi and she said that's what I ordered. She didn't get the hint until I finally had to say "listen, I dont like Pepsi I dont want it." She then offered me a diet mt dew, sure that sounds great. We were there for about 2.5 hours having pizza and drinks, I had 3 refills.

At no point did anyone say "those are cans" during any of the conversations or when asking if I was a refill, so they tried to charge me $15 for soda.

When I brought it up to the server they just gave me a look and was like "Ill get a manager" and just left. Manager came and explained the charges, which yes, I understand you charg3d me for 3 cans, I had to explain no one ever said the bar doesn't have a soda gun and refills or I would have declined them. Ultimately the manager was trying to be nice but came off very condescending as he KEPT EXPLAINING IT WAS CANS even after offering to comp 2 of the 3. YEAH. I KNOW.

Aside from the inattentiveness, just errors like wrong food being entered, wrong slices (we just ate what came because the service time was so slow between check ins), wrong beers poured.

I just generally got the impression none of the staff there really cared except maybe the manager. Go downstairs to...

I took my nieces out to celebrate her 20th birthday here. The staff are so nice and the atmosphere is phenomenal.

I enjoyed a lychee margarita & my bf had a glass of red wine. Both were enjoyable.

Staff, while seemed a bit distracted, were friendly. They provided us with blankets as it was warmer in the early afternoon but as the sun set, it started to get chilly.

The truffle fries were the stand out dish of the night. Perfectly crispy on the outside but still soft inside. Had a slight taste of ?kefir lime leaves? That tasted so special but also like it belonged.

The aguachile was weird for me. Tasted very unseasoned. Also they should clarify that the shrimp is boiled shrimp as aguachile is not made with boiled shrimp. It was fine, but just not what was expected.

The ahi tuna stack also tasted unseasoned. I love this dish typically but it could use more flavour.

Burgers were ok. Overpriced but again we are here for the vibes.

Salmon toasts & margarita toast were also good but not stand out. My niece told me she felt they were stingy with the amount of mozzarella on the toast. She would have appreciated more. A spread out burrata would have felt more indulgent.

I wish they would be more innovative with the flavors. Although everything was “fine”, nothing tasted special to justify the price other than...
