Taco Teresa's is exactly what the name says. They excel in tacos, burritos, and fajitas. I will start off by saying you might have to clean the table you want to sit at because at busy times, they don't have time it seems to clean. You order at the register, and someone brings out your super authentic Mexican cuisine. The chip bar and lots of salsa are available while you wait. They were very good chips and the variety of salsas didn't leave you bored at all. They didn't have fountain soda, so cans or Jarritos were the options. The Jarritos were a great option to go with the grub. The chicken fajitas were amazing. So much food. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The beans had a bit of zip to them, so be careful. The Chimichanga was again great. Everything tasted exactly like you would want them to and imagine real Mexican to taste like. My one problem was with the Pollo Tamlae. Tamales are my favorite food items, but theirs didn't hit at all. The corn meal was extra dry, and there was little to no chicken in the tamale. It was a complete letdown. It was ultra bland and for the cost, not even close to worth it. The Churros were what you thought they'd be. I recommend everything but the Tamale. Go have a quick bit at Taco Teresa's. You won't...

Street Tacos - Chicken and Carne - Both dry. You have to load up on salsa and or sour cream to get them down. Also, just lacked flavor and were really bland.
Torta (pastor) - No effort at all to toast the bun or make it unique. With the bun being so soft, then loads of avocado, made it a complete mess to eat. The pastor was decent and certainly better than the dry chicken.
Burrito (chicken) - Same dry chicken. Saved by other burrito fillings, mainly the rice which did have a nice flavor on it's own. For the price, nowhere near worth it.
Tres Leche Cake - This was the best of the meal. Not worthy of a special trip to get it, but good. Some type of fresh fruit topping could make it special.
Sauces - Subpar at best. Just bland flavors. Nothing special.
Overall, not very good and not worth the cost. Not sure about all the high reviews. Temper your expectations if you're looking for authenticity and...
Read moreI sure hope this isn’t supposed to be authentic Mexican tacos. It leads me to believe that they think they are since they also sell an “American taco.” I ordered from this establishment via DoorDash. This was the first time ever eating their food. This was a very bad experience.
The Refried beans were soupy and spilled. I’ve NEVER had refried beans swimming in liquid.
The rice was flavorless. No seasoning, very bland.
The churro bites were burnt.
The Tres Leches cake was a poor example. I dated a Mexican woman who made this from scratch. Yours was barely a boxed cake mix with a little drizzle of moisture. Very dry.
The complimentary chips that came with were in desperate need of salt. There wasn’t a single grain of salt to be found.
The street tacos were the highlight, and even they were mediocre at best.
If I had dined in, I would have insisted for a full refund. I will never visit or order from this restaurant again. Judging from the rave reviews, this Mexican experience truly is for the Minnesota bland...
