These same astrological archetypes contained within the collective unconscious were accidentally discovered by David John Oates to be speech reversals underlying our verbal forward speech patterns.
In the 1960s, Beatle John Lennon accidentally created a new recording technique called backward masking. Then, in 1984, psychologist-hypnotist David John Oates discovered that reversals are naturally a part of a human’s forward speech patterns.
He explains in R͟e͟v͟e͟r͟s͟e͟ ͟S͟p͟e͟e͟c͟h͟, “Reverse speech is unconscious in nature. Automatic brain functions are involved in the delivery and reception of speech reversals. It is an intricate part of spoken language and always relates to, or is complementary with, the forward dialogue.”⁴⁹
He says in his findings, “Its complementary nature seems to indicate that Reverse Speech draws upon many different areas of the mind to correct and enhance what is spoken forwards, effectively serving as the brain’s own editor of forward speech.”⁵⁰
Due to his experimental observations he determined that the rightbrain hemisphere, which “is emotional, imaginative and creative in nature” and “is thought to be responsible for unconscious mental activity and the emotional emphasis placed in speech”,⁵¹ was the source of Reverse speech.
Oates continues, “Everything contained within the unconscious mind - what is now and what has been in the past - has the potential to appear in Reverse Speech. Reverse Speech, using its metaphors and primordial images, exposes the total Self and the three areas of the mind as defined by Carl Jung.”⁵²
Oates acknowledges the significance of his discovery when he says, “It, [Reverse Speech], reveals not just a single aspect of the psyche, but encompasses the totality of the whole. At its deepest levels, it describes a universal mind, revealing that all of us are linked inexorably, and forever, with one another.”⁵³ In summary, he says, “As human beings, we share a collective unconscious and this collective identity, with its limitless knowledge, is expressed and handed down, in part, using...
Read moreSo I went there on my lunch break, and ordered a simple Bacon Cheeseburger Ketchup only with a Regular Fry. Apparently the gentleman whom took my order was a bit... well didn't hear me because he gave me Cajun fries. I have an acid reflex disorder and do not eat anything spicy , as it's very unpleasant for me. But I did not notice this error till I had returned to my job, and my break was already almost over so I didn't have time to go over and get the ordered fixed right then and there. So I returned when I got off work and explained the situation. The manager was very understanding and offered me regular fries or a refund. He was very professional and polite and offered me a drink while I waited for my fries. I love five guys and have since I lived in VA and was so happy to see one down here in FL. I wished all local food establishments had managers of this degree but sadly we do not. I had an awesome experience and will be a...
Read moreThe food is always good and the burgers are excellent (probably one of my favorites around)! However, almost everything one the menu is overpriced. If you order the cheapest burger and the smallest size fry expect to pay no less than $12 before your drink. Also, I find that the menu is meant to make you order more food than you actually want, to the point where it feels intentionally misleading.
"Regular" burger = 2 patties "Little" burger = 1 patty (same size as one pattie of the Regular one)
I would consider the Little burger a normal size and the Regular one something I would order when I am extra hungry.
The fry's are no different. The Little fry is what most places would consider a large and any larger sizes could be shared by multiple people.
Overall it is a good place to eat on special occasions but be aware that you are paying a lot for probably more food...
