I wish I had a higher rating for this amazing restaurant! The atmosphere was inviting (warm and friendly). Our server was Aaron and he was so accommodating and patient. Our second party was late but he didn't mind at all. The food was almost undesirable! Hot, fresh, authentic Italian food. As I picky eater I would love to go back every night until I am able to sample everything. We each ordered something different, no problem for this kitchen. It all came out fast and together. We tipped the kitchen (through our server and wasn't worried they wouldn't get it) Aaron had an amazingly personality, and one of the best sences of humor so important when dealing with the public in a difficult industry. You just can't teach that skill. Aaron THANK YOU. The price was great, bathrooms clean and stocked. We are from New Mexico, but will be sure to tell everyone and will make it a MUST do when here every two years. Now here's the most amazing part: as an insulin dependent diabetic I have to be careful what I eat and of course have to take insulin with every meal. When I put the medicine back into my purse I missed it and it fell to the floor. I Had no idea I had not picked it up. I called way after close. I wish I could remember the persons name that answered because they made it very urgent to find it. They then put it in the safe to be picked up the next day. At 7:15am they answered the phone and said yes it's here and to come to a different door and they would give it to us. Sure enough the manager was amazingly fast got it and brought it right to us. THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU INVOLVED in our emergency mistake. This all sounds like it would always go this way (which isn't true as we have had problems before and they didn't care, where this restaurant everyone did). But here's the amazing point of interest: as we said before we are out of new Mexico, there was $800 in cash in that case and absolutely every bit of it was still there. You just don't know how scared we were and we plan to make sure we leave this amazing story everywhere. They just don't make a better place to eat. We will...
Read moreWent on a date with my husband. Took about 30-45 minutes to get here. Booked reservations for 730 but got there about 15 minutes early and was seated right away. Our server was Alexis. She came to the table right away to get out drink order then came back to take our order. When our food came out it was barely warm ( chicken parmigiana and lasagna) while my husband veggie ravioli was hot. This was a bit disappointing as I heard the table across from us tell a different server their appetizer came out cold. So she asked if I wanted my food warmed and I said yes. By the time my food came back out my husband was almost done with his meal , not only that but my food came back the SAME temperature as I sent it. At this point I just wanted to eat and go without ruining date night. So we ordered dessert and the server came , stacked our plates in each other but came back with a to go box for the food I ate. She stated she couldn’t remember whether I asked to take it to go so I told her since she went through the trouble of boxing it up I’d take it. She replied “ yeah you might want it again tonight after smoking and get the munchies “ my husband begged me not to get offended stating this is a common stereotype for him cause he’s black with long dreads but it really irritated me so now we want to just take the check and dessert to go. When she came back with the machine to pay it gets worse , I gave her the boxed food back and told her , well you can take this back cause me nor my husband smoke so they’ll be no munchies later for this. She comes back with the check and card reader was pretty much mocking my husband as he paid saying “ see I didn’t even have to tell you where to put the card , or how to pay and you guys look like millennials” she looked the same age as us. All in all the seating host were prompt and polite. Food would’ve been good if it was actually hot. Coming from a former server our server was terrible probably won’t recommend or return. We’ve gotten better service at...
Read moreThe general restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough during the first part of our meal. Our server was nice and competent for the most part. The food was not great but adequate. Our biggest issue was having a party of 22 people unceremoniously “seated” near us halfway through our meal. They were all adults and many exceptionally rude - standing and chatting amongst themselves loudly for over half an hour. They consistently bumped into the people in our party who were seated and trying to enjoy their meal. In fact, they seemed to be under the impression they had a private room in which we were intruding.
Despite mentioning our concerns to our server, she did nothing. She didn’t suggest they take a seat, nor did she request that a manager speak with the party. We couldn’t hear the person next to us without them yelling. Ironically in frustration I finally did the school teacher strategy of “clap clap clapclapclap!” Only then did they finally quiet down and sit down.
It was a very sour note to our family meal. Our children couldn’t converse with their grandfather they had traveled hours to see. The same children we consistently corrected regarding manners asked why all the new random adults were being loud and rude and not taking their seats.
And lastly, the cannoli was bland, stale and “chewy”.. An Italian restaurant who can’t provide a decent cannoli shouldn’t be allowed to call themselves an...
