Del Taco — Restaurant in Mission Viejo

Love this location, Staff is always so friendly and ensures you get everything you ordered as well as condiments, this is of course when you can order since COVID the options for food after 10/11pm get very slim, at 1AM all Del Taco is the only restaurant I know havr an open drive-thru, until now, I dont know if its just coincidence but the same lady happens to be working each time the past 3 months I go up to order and an told "not taking orders online pickup only" so I go to one of the 6 in the surround 10 miles usually the one off 5fwy @ ALICIA OR 5fwy@Lake Forest that don't have this issue, ever... I even see cars that attempted to order at this location in line at these other locations even had followed and been followed to a nearby location by other would have been customers. This regularly happens ive seen at it happen at least twice a week multiple times. Whomever is on duty upgraded to a hand written sign on a piece of printer paper over the Drive-thru speaker box. . . You would assume the owner or Del Taco would have fixed whatever problem would have caused this to happen, it's starting to look more like a personnel decision, not an equipment issue. I hope this is fixed, people are giving up on this location at night all together and don't even try anymore. I can't imagine the losses this caused financially and for the reputation to would be repeat customers.. This was the location all of Ladera Ranch residents would go to after a late night out before returning home, now go to mission Viejo location or one of the others before getting to the area. Please...

Compared with most other del Taco locations, my experiences here at this facility have been generally lacking and disappointing. Not every time but most of the time I am not offered or provided any sauce or napkins. As a student at college who uses this vocation as a quick spot to grab something to eat either before or after school I always use the drive-thru which is never busy or backed up but regardless whenever I get my order I have made a habit of check to make sure there's napkins and sauce. I would say 90% of time I have to go back and ask or remind them at the window and unfortunately when they do return with it it is usually the bare minimum. The food is never hot it always feels as though it's been sitting out all day at room temperature and I'm constantly worried about getting sick so I've been limiting how much I eat here because of my experiences. Good luck asking employees about the price of items or asking them about whether things are still available in the menu because every time I've ever asked a question I have been responded in a way that makes me feel like I'm an idiot. I might be having a unique experience. And I hope I am. Or I hope that this is seen...

For the most part ppl are very nice and good at there job, but sometimes you'll get the occasional person who refuses to sell you a milkshake, or will only sell a reg, or lg size one if it's too late at night. They sometimes have specials on the menu during certain times or the year like rn they have horchata Oreo and Mexican chocolate shakes were are so fricken good my sis n I buy one just about every other day along with my fav cheese cake bites which Iam addicted too?!! Last night there was a new guy at the window who was extremely nice n helpful also very patient due to my card n the the second card not working had to split the bill between the 3rd try card n my sis card and he never got an attitude, or made us feel rushed at all and was so polite, which was a breath of fresh air tbh this service is pretty hard to find nowadays where the customer is no longer always rite n when u ask for a manager it's usually the person being rude lol ne ways that young man should...
