Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Mission Viejo

I Love these sandwiches, I Can eat them 2 or 3 times A-day and not get sick of them. Have actually done that quite a few times. As a matter of fact I almost made it a whole week straight one time surviving solely on Jimmy John's sandwiches. I stumbled across the Jimmy John's franchise in Arizona, at that time I would travel to Arizona once a month. I would eat there a couple times and always grab a couple sandwiches for the drive home. And always get a dozen "day old bread" at $.25 a loaf is the only sandwich bead I buy (Now I can pick up a couple every other day). About 6 or 7 months later I discovered they were opening a few in California. I was thoroughly Extatic when I learned thus, even more so to find out one was opening less than a mile from my house. They did not disappoint just as tasty if not more than what I remember from Arizona. The staff is always friendly, always helpful, have great suggestions if you're not sure, it is your 1st visit, or just want try something new. They have a great option to "Jimmy up" your sandwich, this is simply adding onions, pickled peppers (which are amazing) and oregano & basil sauce all this trio added to your sandwich changes the experience completely. I personally prefer to use the app to order my sandwich that way I can make it exactly the way I choose without having to remember or explain it to anybody. you can save your favorite sandwich in the app. Giving you the option to be to place your order in about 4 taps to your phone, having it ready within a couple minutes sometimes seconds. Now for the con, the reason for losing a ☆. The way they wrap your sandwich (there is actually a diagram that shows you how to unwrap your sandwich it & wrap it backup if you don't finish it) it's very ingenious. However If I am not driving or on the go, I prefer not to use this method. I choose to have it cut in half if I'm sitting down eating. You have the option to request this by telling them when ordering or checking a box in the app. Now for some crazy reason (& it's not just this location it's every Jimmy John's I have ever visited) they can not remember to cut my sandwich in half. of course I don't realize thus until I get to where I'm going, now I have to either find a knife & a clean cutting surface, or without such items I'm now left with one option, to rip my sandwich in 1/2. This gets food all over my fingers, hands, & under my nails. It never goes well leaving half with a piece of meat hanging out, a smashed tomato slice, etc, it's just not an enjoyable scenario. This happens around 63% to 77% of the time. This actually happened last visit. I ordered 2 sandwiches via the app, I checked the option box thus requesting that both sandwiches be cut in half. I return home (to my un~surprise) only one was cut in half, I can not even fathom how this happened & keeps happening. Even when I stress the issue. 🤔Maybe it's an evil plot for world domination😈, or more likely I come across as a 😲d¡ck😠 & don't realize it😇 They only have 2 cookie choices although when they're so Radically mouthwateringly rich & savory you don't need any more choices. I walked in to order and the young man working the register there on Monday, August 2nd at around 5pm was staring at my shirt and barely making eye contact because he wanted to make it clear he didn’t respect my time. He was rude when I tried to order and when I said what I wanted he stared back blankly as if saying, “I don’t care.” It was so rude.
