Friendly staff with a prompt response. Sorry no pictures! I wasn't able to take any due to the location of the place I ate at.

I ordered online, I did not have to wait too long, as I had placed the order just minutes before getting there.

One thing that I want to mention is that this was my first time at this establishment. The atmosphere was fine, but seemed a little cramped. I loved how clean the inside the entire facility was including the food prep area.

The staff were all friendly, the one girl spoke as soon as I stepped in and another guy assisted me with the wait time of my food.

Now on to the food!

Chicken Tenders Mango Habanero has a super nice kick and is very flavorful, the chicken tenders are really good size and cooked well, nice and crispy, not greasy at all; none of the chicken is greasy.

The 2 types of wing flavors I decided to go with were HoneyQ and Mikes Hot Honey. I really enjoyed the Hot Honey, it was sweet like honey and only a slight tingle to the tongue, really delicious. HoneyQ was fine, I wouldn't say off the chain, but still really good BBQ flavoring.

The MacnCheese, sadly it was super bland. Maybe it's good if you get them loaded but I got them plain. Could use some improvement for sure, it lacked the flavor of cheeses.

Now for the funnel fries... OMG!!! 😱 These were off the chain, damn, so delicious!!! I would go back just for these alone. GET THEM; you don't even need the sauces.

I want to come back to this place again, much better than WingStop...

First time and last time eating here. The service at this restaurant was atrocious and the food was awful. The kitchen was filthy and down right disgusting. Food all over the floor and counters. Raw chicken laying out. Batter everywhere. Dirty dishes everywhere. Employees were touching raw chicken and then touching several other objects including their faces. Staff were maskless and sneezing all over the food they were “preparing” without covering their mouths. Staff would drop food onto the filthy counter and then throw in back into the order. If you want Covid with a side of food poising then this is the place to be. I was able to observe a lot waiting for my online order that said it was ready 30 minutes prior.

I understand there really isn’t a clean way to fry chicken but it would probably be best to not have an absolutely filthy kitchen on full display. As Jayhawk alumni, my wife and I were so excited to try this place because it was “Jefferson’s.” We’ll never go back. If I was the owner I would immediately remove all association to Jefferson’s. I’ll never be able to not think about this experience when I think about Jefferson’s which is a shame.

If I could give this place a 0/10 I would. It was that bad. Unfriendly staff, disgusting and filthy kitchen, unsanitary conditions, hostile environment. Save your time and go to the Peanut across the street if...

My beautiful wife Jillian found this new gem located at the corner of Johnson Dr. & Nall Ave. I am familiar with the Jefferson franchise Lawrence KS where owner Brandon Graham recently took over as president.

We were quickly drawn to the vibrant colored exterior of the restaurant where we soon learned that a local artist Tad Carpenter. The six foot tall custom chicken will certainly catch your attention also.

Immediately when you enter WingStand you are greeted by a lovely staff. The resturant is laid out with the kitchen to one side and a small indoor seating area that might seat 15 people at best. Had it not been freezing cold the outdoor patio looked to be huge and would have been perfect.

The staff helped us choose from their staples of wings, tenders, sandwiches and mac-n-cheese bowls. I tried the Gochu-Dang sandwich and my wife got the Buffalo Mac. We got the shareable sized fries and let me tell you coming from a french fry lover that is a lot of fries lol.

The food was fantastic. The chicken was double fried and the sauce had so much flavor. The mac-n-cheese was tender and had just the right amount of spice.

We later learned that the bar next door will also serve drinks if your dining outside.
