Stockman's Bar — Restaurant in Missoula

I was going to Stock's since well, let's just say before I should have been and I still try to make it back for a drink when I visit Missoula. Not sure if you have seen the shirts or hats but they say Stockman's - liquor in the front, poker in the rear. The place has been around for many many years and has become the local watering hole for many college kids. I enjoy going down there getting my drink on, having a "special" which is a black velvet (bad Canadian whiskey) and coke. There is also the "duck special" which is vodka and blue sports drink. Either way you are gonna have a headache in the morning.

The bathrooms and the place in general are a huge dump, the food is, well I am not sure because the kitchen is never open when I am there at night. The juke box plays cheesy music, the drinks are super cheap, everything you need for a college bar, including a fun poker game in teh back. If this isn't what you are looking for then I am sue you won't give it as high of a rating...

Worst bar ever. They simply don’t get it. Bartenders to not know how to serve and when they do they do they don’t know how to make the drinks properly: also, a friend of mine who is 25 got her REAL ID taken and when asked for it back was refused. They simply cut it with scissors and said “sorry out of luck”. I am beyond mad and have the cops involved because of the bars mistraining of staff. All I can say is this is a sorry excuse for a bar and should get their liquor license taken. My friend now has to go to the DMV and pay $80 for a new one. Absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable. Stockman's is another fantastic bar in Missoula that remains just as I remembered it from 30 years ago. Located in the heart of downtown, it offers a great beer selection and a full spirits menu. The ambiance is lively and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a night out. The highlight for me is the live Hold'em games in the back, which are still a big draw.
