Love's Seafood - Azalea Rd — Restaurant in Mobile

I can’t remember how I found out about Love’s seafood but I wanted to give it a try. I know I’ve passed the one on Springhill but have never been. The Azalea road location is much closer to me. Anyway, I was checking their menu because I wanted to do takeout. I saw that they had a soft shell crab poboy. That sounded very interesting to me. I’d never had a crab poboy before. I ordered that and it came with fries. I went to pick up my food. When I was on the phone ordering the person taking my order informed me that I could pick up my order through the drive thru. That was not a problem. He explained that the inside of the restaurant was closed. I’m not sure when the inside closes but I ordered around 7 or so. Like I said that wasn’t a problem for me. I was in the drive thru for a few minutes and picked up my food fairly quickly. When I got home I was eager to find out what this poboy was about. I peeked at the sandwich and was a little underwhelmed. To be fair, I didn’t really know what to expect. I think I thought the poboy would be fuller than it was. Now when I bit into the sandwich it was really good. It had a lot of flavor it just was a small sandwich. The fries with my poboy were pretty good. No complaints there. Even though I was a little underwhelmed with the poboy I still want to go back and try other items on the menu. The seafood boils...

The service was great very sweet people. My order was a call in order and they waited to box my order until I got there which was very much appreciated. Now the food needs some salt the fries had no salt or any seasoning of any kind on them. The batter on the fried fish and shrimp could have used extra seasoning the flavor was lost in the process of frying was not...

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! I have been to the one on Springhill Avenue AND the new one that just opened on Azalea Road. We received excellent service and the food was amazing. The menu has such a variety and everything is so good!!! This is a must try and I know you will want to go...
