McDonald's — Restaurant in Mobile

January 5, 2023 @ 8:30 went through drive thru for a milkshake and smoothie. No one was in drive thru. Girl said they were on a pause or standby (forgot what exactly word she used I had never heard used for an establishment) I asked how long long would this pause be for. She replies they are understaffed. I look around and once again no one was inside eatting or ordering at the counter. No one in front of me. No one behind me. I then told her we just wanted drinks. She then lets out an agitated and annoyed big sigh out before asking what we want. I told her you know what. Nevermind. When coming past the driver thru windows. No one. No one anywhere. Vehicles parked outside. Assuming employees. But no customers. One teenage boy walking around like he was waiting for someone to get off work looking down at his phone in the eatting area. Understaffed? No customers and they needed to stop all business to what?? No one was working doing anything. Especially where she couldn't sell 2 drinks. What in the world?? I have never in my life worked at any place where anyone was refused service because they were understaffed or took busy. An apology for a longer wait time. However there was no customers. And appeared to have not been for a while. 8:30 on a Friday and Mcdonald's is a ghost town. Rude, little obnoxious brat needs to be fired along with whoever else was clocked in last night. I ordered using the app at 8:28pm... I got my food at 9:20pm. I waited in the pick up spot I reserved for 30 minutes and finally wanted to figure out why my order wasnt out so i go to through the drive through that is wrapped around the building. I finally get to the first window where 3 of the employees are vaping and hanging out in what i suppose is the managers office. Nobody at the drive through register and my attempts to get their attention just get me stared at like I'm stupid. I finally get fed up with waiting and drive up to the second window. Where I get told she came out with my order and I wasn't there... yeah I called to ask why my order said it was delivered on the app and didn't get it and you told. Me to drive around. I've legitimately never had worse or slower service... save your time and money and go anywhere else... Popeyes across the street does better and that's saying something... (they are notoriously bad but atleast the food gets out)

edited the orders even wrong and sloppy the double quarter pounder is a single and the burgers look like someone decided to sit on them, fries are soggy and cold...Owners if you care about your business you seriously need to review how your shops being run... I get the bars low for the talent you get but this is outrageous not a single positive from service, to speed, to...

Where do I start?! I don't typically do this, but service was terrible in the drive thru. We ordered 4 medium combos but realized we had been charged for larges when we saw our receipts. Not a huge deal. If it had ended there, I wouldn't be writing this review. We didn't ask to be refunded, but they certainly didn't offer. When we asked for ketchup and BBQ sauce, we were told that BBQ sauce would be 28 cents each. I reminded them that we were charged extra for large combos even though we specifically ordered mediums. We were rudely told that it didn't matter; we'd still have to pay for the BBQ sauce and were stuck with the large combos. They handed us the bags and shut the window without acknowledging their mistake that they clearly didn't intend to correct. We parked to get everything situated and realized we had no straws or napkins, so I had to go inside to get them. Defeats the purpose of the drive thru. I did get to speak to the manager when I went in and let him know how rudely we were treated. He apologized and said he would handle the employees. We were given 5 ketchup packets for 4 combos. I was not going back inside for more at this point. They were out of Dr. Pepper. Again, not something I'd write a review on, but it was the cherry on top of a lovely...
