Waffle House — Restaurant in Mobile

The waitress was good but the cook did not set up his plates right .. I had a patty melt plate with hash and chilli .. my bread was cold and not toasted chz was not in the patty nor was there any onions at all... My wife wrked at wagfwa house for yrs so I know how plates are to be set up and food made .. this food was bad and cold and sloppy.. so on my plate the patty I had no onions on my melt chilli was runny not thick on my hash bread cold with cold chz then by the time I got to eat it the water fr the chilli on my hash done soaked in my non toasted Texas toast... No on to my wife's plate she had hamburger and hash with chilli and chz ham... Well she had a patty and cold bun there's was no sides ( Lett. Tom.onion.pick.ket.must.mayo). Dry as hell .. not toasted then barely ny chz on hash not even a portion of ham and chilli well same as mine watery... And by the time she got to eat to the water chilli dne soaked in the bun... ... Now agiag I say the waitress was awesome very friendly good service on her part ...and I heard her call the order correctly.. but bc the cook was ready to go he didn't care how or what he was doing ..and I went back up to fix it all she gave us free drinks and was willing to remake our food but it wouldve been by him bc the other cook wasn't in yet so I declined due to not wanting any more messed up food not to mention he never scraped his grill to put new stuff dwn as you are supposed to. Had no hair net on as you should cooking and did not wear gloves as he supposed to.. So this experience at this store was awful I ended up paying 18.57 for two messed up plates the only thing I didn't mind paying was the 2$ tip to the waitress bc she did her job very well even with it being a take out as for the other 16.57 this mean wasn't even worth 2.00 bucks my...

4/2025 The fact waffle House has published a new menu with the temporary egg charge on it says they have no intention of making not temporary. On top of that the eggs I did get were way undercooked. Guess I'll check back a few years later to see if this establishment can change.

12/2022... Still not impressed. Food prep was poor and service was slow and spotty. Unfortunately server spent more time attending dishes than customers. Two years later and the place seems to be still struggling with same issues.

2020... Visited this place 5 times and must say only once was the food prepared well and the service was good. Many times the server is just doing a poor job which is sad since usually there only 2-3 groups in the place so not like they are over whelmed. Tables are never cleaned and if they are its just a brief wiping since oil and stuff is still on the table. The food prep is totally poor, eggs done well before other items, hash browns poorly prepared, waffles that were overcook on one side while other is almost gooey, or just flat out dirty from poor iron cleaning. In short, staff needs a full 101 training to get things right again. For the time being I will drive further to another Waffle House and come back to this one in about a year. The cook Bobby Ocain this is what he stated his name was I asked the waitress what was his name and she refused to tell me his name as if this was their normal practice.he was the 2nd shift cook on 1/1/19 he is a unprofessional he is stealing food from customers giving half portion and have the nerves to get angry 😠 when I confronted him he was loud and augumentive and combative and there were customers in the restaurantl watching all this behavior unfold. all I can say is a hit Dog 🐕will holler and this was not the first time this happened. I hope corporate get rid of unprofessional people on Schillinger Rd the Waffle House across from Wal-Mart before they have to close their doors but looking at all the negatives reviews I dont think they care what their customers experience from their thirsty decision to hire anyone. how sad 😢 they put their customers to deal with such unprofessional people. a note to Waffle House please give your employees better discounts so their customers will not suffer this type of behavior how sad 😢 people please save yourself from the trauma and drama at...
