Ive lived near this McDs for 20 years so I've unfortunately eaten here a lot. It's more convenient than the other Oakdale location but man what a stark difference! Ive lost count of how many times this place has not just messed up the order but completely destroyed it or gave me the wrong order. The customer service by the people who work there is lackluster. Some make an effort but most carry themselves in a very juvenile lazy disinterested manner. No please, thank you, come again, smiles, waves, or any semblance of personality. Even when I worked my first McDs job in HS I took pride in my work. Shout out to the night crew and my boy Johnny at the Ceres McDs on Hatch! The two of us could handle ANY dinner rush! We treated it like a competition to do it right and fast! Without having to wait. Rhythm and flow so fries never were empty, nuggets always freshly available, buns hot and ready, meat in plentiful supply, and orders filled perfectly. If we made a mistake we were pissed because we strive for perfection as a matter of pride. These kids don't have that. Some do but most don't. That's why my simple cheeseburger meal orders with no onions no pickles is ALWAYS messed up. Fries missing, 4 piece nugget instead of the ten piece my son wanted, diet instead of regular drink, wrong order altogether, etc. The list of ways this store can mess up orders is endless. Im not one to exaggerate. In 20 years they've probably messed up at least a portion of my order nearly 1/2 the time. Ive told myself for years stop going stop going, but on the way back from games, practices, late night shifts, appointments, etc it is really the most convenient one to where we live and my kids love the food. So I go. And everytime I say, "never again." I rarely review, rarely call to complain, but here I am reviewing. And I've called this store to complain about a dozen times over the years at least. Now you don't get a manager you get an answering service. When HS kids and adults working HS level work are screaming for living wages and jacking up even the cheapest forms of service to astronomical levels but the service, quality, and attention to detail DRASTICALLY goes down...there is a serious problem. Clearly we are paying them more to do less. Paying them more to care less. Maybe its a lack of quality applicants? Or just a shift in the level of maturity and commitment of the kids taking jobs today? Or no accountability by the managing staff? If I were the owner id be paying attention to these reviews because people are right. This is the worst McDs in Modesto! I know there are people who will drive by to go to another store altogether. Ive been telling myself to do so for years. Their mistakes are more frequent and more severe. Back when my order totaled like $12 it wasn't worth raising a stink. But now that an avg order may reach $60 or more...nah I cant let that slide any longer. You asked for more money, we demand more accountability and attention to detail. either that or go Huff paint somewhere because you are useless. If you cant make it at a fast food job you have a bleak future! Not many jobs out there that require less skill than fast food. So save your money, time, and aggravation by driving another 2 miles down the road to the OAKDALE location near Scenic. They've NEVER gotten my order wrong, are way more curtious, and clearly know how to identify the diamonds in the ruff from the available applicants. Im starting to think the Oakdale and Floyd location may be a feeding ground for the uneducated, delinquent, or mentally challenged because they perform as well as an infant trying to put the square peg in a round hole. And if its been happening over 20 years for me...it clearly is...
Read moreWent thru drive thru. They parked me and the car in from of me. Which I couldn't believe since I have never not once seen them park anyone, not even when the cars were so backed up they were all the way out in the street. I waited outside for 10 min. Finally went in and they said they were out of biscuits and they were in the oven. Just another couple minutes she says. This is at 9:15 in the morning...why WOULD u be out at breakfast time?? Had to wait another 15 minutes till I finally said I have a new client this morning so I'm just going to have to get my money back and my workers will just have to go without cause I have to leave now. One of the girls says she's making them right now.. almost another 5 minutes...I was given a few hash browns and a couple. I left there at 9:43 & had to drive to Jamestown like a bat out if hell thani felt like an idiot when I apologized to the client for not being on time. Almost 30 mins for an order in drive thru. Another thing I saw the girl doing my order together go ahead and erase it from the screen like 15 mins before they gave it to me so that their times wouldn't be high in the computer. So corporate, the manager, regional manager really have no idea how long they truly are getting these orders out and making the customers wait. Not too satisfied with them at this point. Read moreToday I had a horrible experience with the McDonald’s at 2601 Oakdale Rd. in Modesto California I drove through I had ordered three McMuffins and two hashbrowns and they came back with an incorrect order. I drove back down to McDonald’s and the service there was horrible. They ended up telling me that I needed to go to another McDonald’s and they did not give me anything for my inconvenience and they were very rude and I drove off very unhappy and pissed off so I would suggest that no one goes to the 2601 Oakdale Rd. McDonald’s because the customer service there is horrible, and I will have photos of what my order look like when I get home I did not order for plain English muffins. My order was cold when I got home and I had to return back to McDonald’s so therefore the order the hashbrowns were very cold and the other McMuffin was cold. They didn’t offer to give me fresh hashbrowns that were hot. They just said you just need to go to the other McDonald’s. I left very highly upset and I think no one needs to be treated that way and those people that waited on me need to be terminated.This is the latest update photos, after I got home and open the bag, and look at the McMuffins the smell of them made me sick, it smell like rotten sausage and old eggs that had been spoiled. So I call the franchise back the second time to report...
