It was my first time trying this place out, and I can truly say it was not the best. The tortillas were store bought which was a truly disappointment, the tortillas were constantly breaking apart. I ordered 2 tacos and a quesabirria and a burrito. The limes were hard as a rock, no juice in them. The burrito tortilla was not folded correctly. I walked in and was not greeted, they looked at us and looked away. However I will say our waitress was great! The drinks were not however naturally made and they WERE artifical. So I would say it is not authentic. In a authentic restaurant the tortillas are FRESHLY made and the drinks as well. Not store bought. The prices as well are way to HIGH and not worth it. The menu looked nothing like In person. Also the inside looked like they just slapped decorations on from party city. And the chairs were next to the bathroom. I would NOT recommend anyone to come here. Coming from a Hispanic to a Hispanic this is NOT it, please take time to reconsider to be...
Read moreScore!!! I did a google search for Mexican restaurants in route to work. When I pulled up I was a little nervous. It was not to impressive from the outside. But oh my goodness... the menu was short and sweet. Tacos burritos and tortas. I ordered the steak burrito with rice and beans and an horchata. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious! No exaggeration it was amazing. In all honesty, will say the minced steak tasted -slightly- over cooked in spots, but everything else was -perfection-. The red and green sauce was also 10 out of 10. It was so good I got a second burrito to go for dinner. (Don't judge) Probably the best Mexican food I've eaten in the 10yrs I've been in Charlotte. It's almost an hour for my house, but thank the good Lord it's only 20 min from work. And the famous words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, " I'll be back".
Update, I did go back, about 2 months later... everything went up by about $2. I'm sad, but it is what it is. I...
Read moreI went to this restaurant hearing raves about the quesabirrias con consume. My experience was less than stellar. My tacos came out pale and meat did not seem sufficiently seasoned. The consume (dipping broth) was clear and had no flavor. The tacos where good as a regular shredded beef taco but definitely not a Birria Taco. I asked about the tacos and the waitress informed me that is how they come. The pictures on the menu do not reflect what they serve. I asked the table next to me what they thought and they also stated that it was missing it’s flavor and the consume was pretty much beef broth. It’s a good Mexican restaurant but fell short in their main dish.
Pros: Competitive prices Mexican flavored drinks Regular tacos Dine-in Friendly staff
Cons: Birria Tacos con consume Location Parking Tight seating...
