Reply to management: According to the receipt we were there on 5/14/24 at 7:41pm Order ID AABGXL82AJGY (assuming I read it correctly)
I'm never going back. First, we had to go round and round with the drive through employee to explain that we wanted 6 chicken strips - not the meal, just the strips. He replied they couldn't do that and we pointed out that they sell them by themselves in 2's and 3's. He left for a minute, came back, and asked if it would be okay to get (2) 3 pieces. facepalm yes, that does equal 6. Then he asked if we were done. We'd ordered one item! My husband politely said we wanted more and ordered some pretzel sticks. Again he asked if we were done. Looking back, I wish we'd taken the hint. Not done yet - we ordered a drink and this time asked if there was anything else right after my husband said the word "and...". He just went on and asked for a small chocolate blizzard with peanut butter cups.
Now we went round and round on that before he understood that yes, that means chocolate ice cream, with peanut butter cups. face palm Where did they find this kid? He needs some serious training.
We ordered (2) 3-piece chicken strips (6 total), but got (2) 2-pieces (4 total). The pretzels weren't the best we've had but fine. We also got a drink and a small blizzard. When they tried to hand me the blizzard, it had melted ice cream running down the side in huge, gooey drops. We asked them to clean it up before it got to our car, and he did. He handed it back over and the ice cream was soft and melty. I asked them to remake it and a long time passed. Eventually the employee came back and told us they were out of chocolate ice cream. No wonder it had looked so bad - it was the very last bits in there. He asked if it would be okay to use vanilla and add chocolate syrup and that seemed to make sense to me so I said yes.
It's definitely not the same. Or maybe they didn't add enough syrup, I don't know. I just know that the color was less white than before, and it tasted like McDonalds vanilla ice cream.
By this time we were home after a long day and that's when we discovered we'd be shorted 2 chicken strips. I know it's just 2 but those things are expensive and after all the rest of the hassle it was just such a let down.
I like the convenience of getting chicken strips in a drive through, but I'm probably going to start running in to Safeway (or similar) for them. They've never shorted me and are about 1/3 the price.
And maybe I'll just buy my own fancy ice cream...
Read moreI've finally given up on this location... I would rather drive to Woodinville then give this location yet another chance. All of the issues my family has had is not because the entire staff are young kids, its due to poor management. These kids are not taught to greet customers, repeat orders back, greet people at the counter or window, smile or make a blizzard without taking short cuts. This location is a corporate shame!!
Tonights experience (the straw that broke the camels back), for starters iIonce again was not greeted at the drive through, just the standard "order when ready". I asked if they still had the hot cocoa oreo blizzard as it was not on the menu, not really answering me or knowing the size she asked if "that was all" so i told her the size and finished my order. At the window I waited for her to finish taking another order and speaking to another worker before opening the window telling me my total. That was all, no good evening, how are you tonight or repeating the order... So because I ordered several things I asked her to repeat, she was clearly annoyed at this point. When I handed her my card I asked for lids on everything. I was handed two items with lids, one blizzard without. I asked for a lid and if Milkshakes normally come with Whip, she took back the shake asked another employee if she needs to charge me for the whip, window open right in front of me... I got the whip, got my lid and left. Now on to the poor quality. I've had several issues with blizzards, they estimate how much vanilla ice cream to the cup prior to adding any of the good stuff and then mix, however if they underestimate (usually the case) they add more standard vanilla ice cream directly in the center. What a huge fail and really ruined the entire ice...
Read moreIt's alright.
I think the whole chain down sized their chicken strips & their gravy. This location has always disappointed me but occasionally I go back. Their strips are very inconstant. There's some out there called "chix - tndr crunchy" or something like that by Sysco & I think even FSA. They are pretty consistent. Reach out if you want the item number. I am not at all a rep but work in the F&B business & I know how violated I feel when I get it. I also used to work at a DQ.
The gravy portions are skimpy. It's about 2 oz they give in a 4 oz cup. It's barely enough to eat the chicken with. The bag you pour in with the water you use amounts to a lot & you want $0.50 for extra gravy. Fill it up & everyone will be happy. The powdered bag of gravy cost probably $2-3 max & you get at least 16 servings. That's over 50% profit. I get the cost might be at a 30% or such but really. Customer service goes a long ways.
Anyway, if you get a chix strip basket, pay the arm to get an extra gravy & double check the strips cause they might be tiny.
On top of my F&B rant. I was in there once & it appeared either the owner or manager was working (which is great) although he treated everyone poorly. I would never work for someone so rude & disrespectful. That must be why they are always hiring.
Treat your employees with respect & understand they may have no knowledge of food or customer service. If that's an issue, don't hire them. Times are changing and my kids don't know what work is. Don't treat them poorly, be a coach or mentor. It's...
