i understand that i came right before closing and was grateful they sat me and my family after i had just sat an hour in a half in traffic. however, the waitress made us feel rushed and all of the food and drinks were horrible. i actually come here a lot and this was the first time my food and drinks were this bad. we ordered polo a la creme the sauce was so thin and soupy we couldn’t really use it on the tortillas we had to use it as dipping sauce … that was unacceptable as this dish is not supposed to be like that. there was not a lot of chicken and too many onions. the refried beans tasted like they just came out of the can which is not normal for this place they are usually a darker color hot and more soupy but they were light like warm and very plain. my kid wouldn’t even eat her burrito she took one bite the ground beef didn’t look good so i didn’t blame her. we asked for meat and cheese and sour cream only and it was a tortillas with only beef inside and the cheese was on top with a side of way too much sour cream which i was charged $2.50 for I honestly don’t know why they give you that much sour cream when it’s a kid who ordered a side just to put it on her burrito. I had to order a side of shredded cheese because she didn’t want the cheese on top of the burrito. She wanted it in the burrito which we assumed that’s how it came. That was another $2.50, so I ended up paying $6.50 for her burrito and another five dollars for sour cream and cheese and she took one bite and said that she didn’t like the ground beef. We ordered a strawberry margarita that was not good. It was very bitter. They did remake it and not charge us so I can’t really complain. Other than the second one was better than the first one, but it still wasn’t good. We also Order a Hornitos that was the worst one I’ve ever tasted. Went in for my very first time today,1/3/2025 Well l I will start with this. It seemed nice and the people seemed friendly. We ordered take and I chose to wait inside in the waiting area. Anyways about 20 minutes later a girl comes out from the back with a bag, the girl at the front counter, whom I gave a 8$ tip to for simply taking my order, says to girl with bag that it was for me. I grabbed the bag and headed home. My home is 10 miles away and it was peak 5pm traffic. I got home with what I thought was my food only to find out it belonged to someone named Dan. Well Dan was probably upset when he learned his food was given to me, and I had made it all the way home only to find out nothing Dan ordered would be anything we would eat. I called and they seemed so unconcerned and unapologetic. I decided to drive there and return Dans order and get my money back. What a joke of a restaurant and really honestly just the one lady taking orders. I gave her a tip for taking an order. She did give it back. But the point of the tip was to ensure I get the correct order and utensils ext…. She could even do that. Sad for the Buisness owner having someone like that. That was a very expensive mistake. 2 wasted dinners, 2 refunds 1 free meal, Dans. I did not except the offer to remake my food. For me since it was my first, it was also my last. i have been going there for Years. The food is fantastic and the servers were always great. I went with a brand new group of over 17 people today. All of us ordered full meals and all of us tipped very well. I was unable to eat all of my dinner so i asked for boxes to package it up to take home. I love to eat the left overs with the chips n salsa, so asked if i could have a container to take what was Already on the table home. With a sneer, the manager told me that they usually don't allow that and I shouldn't have ordered extra because it isn't fair because its free. Ridiculously enough it was just what was ordered originally for the Large group of people we had Come in with. When I referenced that the restaurant on Frylands would never have acted that way, he said we were more than welcome to eat there from then on. I guess 20 years of being a customer means nothing to him. I hope the restaurant on Frylands appreciates their referral and new business.
