I thought I would stop in to chic-fil-a to see what all the hubub was about. The restaurant was clean as we're the rest rooms. It was busy I thought for 2 in the afternoon but after tasting there spicy chicken sandwich deluxe it became clear...... This place is amazing.... I'm a huge fan of the wenddys spicy chicken but this tasty bit of poultry cast a very large shadow. The waffle fries were both delicious and moist not dry like other fat food joints and the freshly squeezed lemonade could stand against the greats of the industry... Simply lemonade, Penn Station and Panera Bread.... (if you love lemonade like I do you understand) the staff was friendly kind and patient... You ask patient how can they be patient... Well there was a crack addict (alleged) sitting behind me NOT raising her two boys as they ran around the place crying and screaming, oh and literally climbing on top of the garbage can to retrieve a balloon, the nice woman behind the counter already asked the young child of about 6 years of age to leave alone while the "mother" watched from about 20 feet away. Finally I a pleasant tone the lady behind the counter said "Excuse me." fairly loudly grabbing the attention of all in attendance and focusing their eyes on the boy now standing atop the trash can balloon in hand. Obviously feeling the pressure of the 60 or so sets of judging eyes the "mother" spoke up saying "David uuuhhh... We are leaving" as she sat down back in her seat. Clearly the large play structure provided by Chic-fil-a although completely sufficient for all the other children looking to climb and play just wasn't enough for you David who was looking for something a little edgier, perhaps a little less safe, a little more like home.....you know climbing over garbage I mean (allegedly) The boy David cried and the "mother" retracted her threat. And said were not leaving..... Dang it I thought I. Really enjoying this sandwich and this crack addict (alleged) is being ridiculous. The "mother" then yelled at her son Donovan for knocking over for the second time the lovely fresh flowers on the table spilling the water all over her sons almost entirely eaten kids meal. One of the employees hearing the mothers outcry came calmly and offered to clean up the spilt water and even when noticing the boys food being soaked (how convenient) offered a new kids meal (freshly prepared) to the "mother" for her youngest Donovan...... This is where my friend that I was enjoying lunch with and I departed disgusted by the "mother" or lack there of but, absolutely amazed (seriously I wasn't expecting it to be Soooo good) at the delicious lunch we had just enjoyed.. Having said all that the restaurant, staff and food was top notch. But that "mother" should been tossed. I guess that's just a testament to the fine service and quality people being employed there at Chic-fil-a.... I hope you enjoyed my reviews watch me week days at 7 on TMZ or follow me on twitter...
Read moreI’m not one to leave reviews online. But today really annoyed me. I ordered breakfast online around 10:15am. Just one sandwich meal. I got to the drive through at 10:27am and the associate pulled up my order on her iPad & then told me I missed breakfast....even though I ordered online...ahead of time... she was young so I waited to complain until I got to the window where I spoke to the managers Rich and Brenda. They told me all they could do was give me a refund. I was annoyed because why would it allow me to order online just for me to drive to the location, get to the window, just for them to tell me they won’t give me the food I ordered. They said I had to order online while I was already at the location...WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE...why would I order online if I’m already in the drive thru line? They refused to give me a gift card and essentially told me I’m out of luck. That’s not the customer service Chic Fil A typically provides. I’m a District Manager myself. (Aldi) & if a customer feels they were inconvenienced, even if it’s a one off situation, you do what you can to ensure they leave happy. So here’s my complaint. Don’t allow customers to order online, make them drive to the location (by 10:30am) & sit in line, just to tell them they can’t get the food! At least post a message online or don’t let people order online after 10am. I’ve got no control over how long the line is, so I shouldn’t be penalized for that.
P.S somehow at 10:35am all the breakfast food...
Read moreI recently visited Chick-fil-A, and honestly, I just don't understand the hype. We endured a 30-minute wait in the drive-thru, which seems excessive for any fast food restaurant. When we finally got our food, it was, at best, mediocre. The chicken was passable if you're being generous, and the waffle fries were a letdown – not sorry to say they were pretty much inedible in my book.
The staff, while polite and courteous with their mechanical "my pleasure" responses, couldn't make up for the lackluster meal. It's clear that the polite staff and the scripted service is a part of the brand's charm, but it feels overdone.
I gave in to trying this place because my kid was curious, mainly drawn by the fruit cup on the menu. Unfortunately, he didn't like the chicken or the fries either. We've since learned that making our own healthier and tastier version at home is much more satisfying and cost-effective.
It's puzzling to see adults willing to stand in line like cattle for what amounts to overpriced, average fried chicken and arguably the worst fries around, yet get frustrated over other minor inconveniences elsewhere. This visit was my last; there are definitely better options out there that don't require a half-hour wait for such an...
