🌟 UPDATED 01/28/24 +Full 🍕 Videos Check out the cinematic I did for an 8-cut Sicilian pie. If you're reheating this, does best in a Corningware for 8 min at 375F. A darn tasty pizza.
Pizza is a very personal thing. If you like an Ironborn style pizza (that place in the Strip), with a thick chewy crust that has light, stringy cheese that looks like the ones in TV commercials and light sauce, then this is for you.
This location's been around forever. 50 years by my count, probably longer. I stopped by to get a slice of plain, and then got another. If you can, ask for a corner slice.
The plain's done Sicilian style so it's cut into squares.
I sat down and felt like I walked back three decades. Classic pizza shop seating, comfy space, and the smells and aromas of an ever-busy kitchen that gets good business everyday. Shades of nostalgia all day long.
The only thing that was missing was a Pac-Man arcade cabinet.
If you want cheese you can chew on, try Mineo's in Squirrel Hill.
I went a little overboard on taking photos, but I think this place is worth a quick bite.
X-Lg Neopolitan with Pepper Rings 9/10 Their classic with banana peppers. Very good.
Fries 4/10 Onion Rings 4/10 Garlic Bread 4/10 I got these three for the Royal Rumble along with the 18-cut Neopolitan with Pepper Rings and a 16-cut Sicilian with garlic and tomato (10/10). $83. I would definitely get the pizzas again and again. The sides? Meh. But their pizza is definitely worth getting. Posted extra photos and videos as a...
Read moreThis was our first visit. No hostess. No instructions about ordering at the counter before seating yourself. The staff in the kitchen were enjoying themselves and didn't notice that we were standing at the counter for a couple minutes. The cashier appeared bored. A rather unfriendly atmosphere.
The eating area was clean and bright. The TV was mounted against the windows and the setting sun shining through the large windows made viewing it difficult.
We ordered the regular thin-crust pizza. THE CRUST was wonderfully crispy! The toppings weere skimpy and the sauce was bland. We weren't sure if it had any cheese on it.
We also ordered a large tossed salad to share. It was LARGE, but did not contain the usual "tossed salad" veggies. It did have a LOT of sliced banana peppers and red onion. While it was served with two plates, the server brought only one fork. The dressings were in a take-out packet. The accompanying roll was good sized, but with only one small pat of butter.
From other reviews we were expecting a "five star" experience. We'd give it one star. BUT, while we were there, there was a fairly steady stream of customers- both to eat-in and take out. For our taste, Pizza Hut does a better job.

Read moreA local, small pizzeria that sells pretty decent pies. Prices are alright and they have more than just pizza: they also got pasta, calzone, Stromboli, and so on. I got to try the white pizza (Bianca) and the regular, plain cheese pizza. The cheese pie was a pretty good deal in my opinion, but not great. Large is around 16".
For the Bianca, I thought it was on the oily side. Had lots of garlic, small chunks sprinkled around. It was still quite good. The tomatoes are quite sparse on this pie. And when you do taste them, they taste slightly off. They lack both color and flavor. The price was also not the greatest in my opinion.
The cheese pizza is is NY style, with a moderately thin crust. Sauce is not distinct but not bad either. I enjoyed the pie, especially for the price. Now, the real 'issue' with the pie is the crust. It's got an odd sour taste to it in my opinion, so I did not enjoy it.
Customer service is only okay. Not the best, but I did feel a bit rushed when ordering. It's a good spot to get pizza if you are shopping at Miracle Mile but don't...
