Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburgers — Restaurant in Montclair

Hit Like! If you're going to read this, you might as well hit Like. Thanks I'm so happy to have a Tommy's in our neighboring community. I was born & raised in L.A. & grew up eating at the original Tommy's. Since this Montclair location has opened I've been able to enjoy those awesome chilie cheese fries. Every time I've been inside this establishment the people working there have been really nice to me. Place is always clean. They've gotten my order right. I'm going to be honest though, these chilie cheese fries don't taste the same as the Beverly location in L.A. Maybe its just me. They've also seem to move fairly quick in the drive thru. This past time we were there, there was a white male (I'm assuming a transient) there asking for money or food. My hubby bought him a meal. We went into the establishment with this male. My hubby told him to place his order & he'd pay for it. He did & we informed the employee that the man would be eating inside so that they wouldn't kick him out. Its becoming really hard to go out & enjoy a meal with & or as a family when we have hungry folks asking for something outside of these food...

Poor service, ive gone through the drive two times now and I eat my meal when I get home I'm about 2 mi from there not too far. But far enough to when they make a mistake that it's not close enough for me to go back. I keep requesting no pickles no onions and I get both I've gone as far as to ask as I'm at the window to make sure no pickle no onions and they verify. Now with this type of Sandwich if I open it it becomes a mess unless I'm ready to eat it so for me to check for pickles and onions there is such a problem. Now I don't see a big line of customers there for them to be in such a forgetful manner. I always end up throwing my sandwich away because I can still taste the ingredients even though I pull them out. At this point they are costing me money. Debating whether I want to stop...

Tommy’s has the BEST chili burgers! I’ve been craving their food for MONTHS so of course they were at the top of my list of places to eat at while visiting my family in Cali. I wish they would expand to other states so people can enjoy their delicious food. But I guess for now they will be a delicacy I can enjoy when I come back to my home state.

Go to order is their chili cheeseburger with chili, cheese and onions with a side of chili cheese fries with onions (yes, I love onions!).

I’m definitely going to miss enjoying their food since I don’t currently live in Cali. But I highly recommend for anyone visiting or living here to try them when they can. Their chili is the best...
