To celebrate Father's Day, my family took me to Capital Seafood Restaurant in Monterey Park, and we had a great time and enjoyed some good food. Among the various dishes we tried, one particular standout was the Fried Crispy Vermicelli Noodle with Beef and Veggies.
The moment the dish arrived at my table, I was captivated by its visually appealing presentation. The vermicelli noodles were fried to a perfect golden crispness, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite. The tender slices of beef were cooked to perfection, complemented by an abundance of fresh and vibrant vegetables that added a burst of flavors and textures to the dish.
The flavor profile of the Fried Crispy Vermicelli Noodle with Beef and Veggies was exceptional. The noodles had a delightful hint of smokiness, while the beef was savory and succulent. The combination of the vegetables provided a refreshing and well-balanced taste, adding a touch of sweetness and crunch.
What impressed me the most about this dish was the harmonious blend of textures. The crispy vermicelli noodles provided a satisfying contrast to the tender beef and the crispness of the vegetables. Each element worked together flawlessly, creating a delightful symphony of flavors and textures that left me wanting more.
The portion size was generous, making it ideal for sharing with friends or family. The service at Capital Seafood Restaurant was also impeccable, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and ready to assist with any queries or requests.
another dish worth mentioning is their steamed pork rib in lotus leaf. For meat lover, this is a must have dish. The ribs were steamed to perfect tenderness and the flavor, enhanced by the lotus leaf's fragrant taste, was out of this world.
Overall, the Fried Crispy Vermicelli Noodle with Beef and Veggies and the steamed pork ribs at Capital Seafood Restaurant in Monterey Park exceeded my expectations. If you're looking for a dish that perfectly balances flavors and textures, I highly recommend giving it a try. I will definitely be returning to Capital Seafood Restaurant to explore more of their...
Read moreAnother favorite Chinese seafood restaurants of mine. Was here for my aunt's birthday dinner -- a ten course banquet-style seafood dinner with dessert. The fresh seafood included were honey glazed walnut shrimps, garlic scallion lobster with yee mein (a signature dish for birthdays)👍 and the "Do-Bo" steamed fish...all fresh and delicious with authentic chinese flavors. You could just eat a couple bowls of white rice with the steamed fish sauce a lone...perfectly flavored!😍The Peking duck skin with the bao is amazing!👍 The crispy duck skin compliments the fresh and soft bao. Just add condiments like the long strips of sliced green onions and the oyster sauce and you have a nice delicious Peking duck skin bao that looks like a small taco. The big snow pea known as "Dai Tao Mew" topped with fresh mushionrooms was so refreshing. The perfect slow roasted juvenile pork is to die for. That crispy pork skin gives a perfect crunch in every bite...so delicious!😘 The "yellow feather chicken" dish was ok. It didn't have the glow look and not as flavorful compared to other restaurants that offer the same dish. The fish maw soup could use a little more cooking time to soften the fish maw. Fish mau (dried fish stomach) is a popular soup dish in Chinese cuisine. The egg white with dried scallop fried rice compliments all the dishes...just perfect!💕 Finally the dessert -- almond extract with black sesame ball was amazing! If I didn't have any self control, I would need a some to roll me out on a stretcher. Sometimes your eyes are bigger than your stomach. Lol. Who can blame you when you see these dishes on the table. The restaurant ambient is very nice, pretty and cozy. Not too bright like most Chinese restaurants. The fancy ceiling molding and chandeliers gives a high class look. Our party of three tables (approximately 30 people) was held in a private room. Service was great. Servers were attentive and constantly looking to give you new plates/bowls to use. This restaurant is could be a good venue to host a medium size wedding banquet. Plenty of parking outside in the...
Read moreWe were craving for the almond tea at Capital Seafood Restaurant located in Monterey Park. This is our to go to restaurant for dim sum. Finding parking will require patience during peak hours as the lot is shared with an Asian grocery store, bakery, etc. The outside looked unassuming but the inside of the restaurant is huge. The restaurant was crowded with patrons but we were seated immediately. The ambiance was traditional with white table clothes, patterned chairs and carpet. There is a bar and also big fish tanks with swimming fishes and live crabs. The dim sum push carts, which we love, were still being used - dim sum was fresh and served hot. We ordered the normal dim sum: shrimp har gow, beef tripes, marinated chicken feet, steamed egg custard buns, steamed and marinated beef tendons, pork shu mai, steamed chive dumplings, steamed lotus sticky rice, baked pineapple buns, fried taro dumplings and almond tea dessert. Almond tea was a delicious dessert. It was topped with pastry, flaky, buttery and the almond tea was hot, luscious with soft squishy taro balls with sesame filling that melt in our mouths and also it has other herbal ingredients like cooked lotus seeds, etc. The dim sum was all tasty and bigger than most other places. We ordered lots of dim sum to go.
Service staff were attentive and the ladies pushing the carts were kind and courteous. Waitstaff wore face masks and were constantly walking around tables tending to patrons to ensure needs were met. If there were dim sum items you wanted but not in the push carts, you can wave down a waitstaff and place the order with him. The push cart ladies also wore face masks.
Overall, the food was delicious and authentic and the price point was surprisingly reasonable, much lower than the dim sum prices in San Diego. Also, they didn’t charge for hot tea. We definitely recommend this restaurant for dim sum and look forward to try the dinner dishes in the...
