The Perfect Crumb Bakery Inc. — Restaurant in Monterey

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this bakery!!! 🥰 We just ordered an angel food cake with a layer of pastry cream in the middle and topped with fresh strawberries 🍓 and whipped cream for my in-laws 60th Wedding Anniversary surprise dinner. It was not only as delicious as it sounds, it was beautiful! In fact, guests, and the bride and groom of course, lol, wanted to take some home if there was any left over slices at the end of the night! Our family and guests made wonderful comments about how beautiful the cake was and equally delicious! Susan, the owner, did a wonderful job with this cake and it was spectacular!

In addition, I, myself, have had many other baked goods and breakfast items in this bakery and have never been disappointed! Everything is so fresh and divinely delicious I just had to write this review to let everyone out there know what a great bakery this is. From her specialty of key lime pie (which I normally don’t like, but I’m addicted to this one), to cheesecake, cinnamon buns, macaroons, banana bread, to crème brûlée, breakfast items and much, much more, this bakery aims to please and tantalize the taste buds!

Like I said, I HIGHLY recommend The Perfect Crumb and I hope if you’re ever in the area you make the well-worth-it trip to stop by and see for yourself how good the food is at this bakery! Sunday at 10am went here with my friends, two married couples and no one was in the bakery. Susan, who found out was the owner, greets me by saying "hello when you're done ordering can you step outside because there's too many people in here." Rudest greeting. You shouldn't greet people like that and there is a politer way to ask people to wait outside which i have no problem doing but the tone was angry and irritated and there was no greeting other than those words. Then i asked her which she prefers the breakfast sandwich or the burrito and she says "i dont know theyre both good whatever your favorite is." I then told her it was my first time which is why i asked. She kept saying she doesnt know and theyre both good. I have never met a business owner irritated by the fact she had customers in her establishment. The younger girl, her employee was super nice. The biscuit sandwich was very good. Walked in super excited to try this place. Asked the miserable lady in the front if she carried any vegan options she responded with a loud “NO” and walked to the back. She barely even looked at me or said hello. We were left speechless. Now that I’m reading all the reviews, they all say the same about this place.
