On the road again driving through Alabama to Bainbridge , GA... Montgomery was our half way and lunch stop. After checking the reviews and seeing it was a mom and pop shop, I decided we had to stop. Part of me was super excited it was literally sack/deli meals.
So here's the run down from what I could gather... Christian owned and operated, idk the Christian station down here, but I recognized the music on the radio after their live music was over! So many homey and welcoming touches here. This is exactly what I would do if I had my own restaurant. Crosses, scripture and even a prayer tree. Just in love with how in love the owner is with Jesus. We even bought a cross for our kitchen wall. I'm going to assume and upon talking to the cashier/counter woman (very friendly woman) I would believe this is a black woman owned restaurant.... I've noticed in our travels the black woman owned restaurants by far deliver better than any chain I've ever been to.
So onto the food... seasoned first and foremost. Now if you follow me I'm from St. Louis and we are slacking in the seasoning department in my opinion. Anyways... cracker roll, Mainly a wrap where we come from, but the big guy enjoyed it, he also had a ruben. I'm not going to judge it though bc he changes the bread and takes off the sauerkraut, not even a Ruben any longer. For my spicy chicken eater I steared him into getting a burger which he was pleased with and shared an incredible fry with me. The oldest boy had a club, I had a southwest sandwhich, love the chipotle mayo. Potato salad is on point, most of us picked that for one of our sides bc of course we had to "make it a sack" The girls also had fruit, one of em was thrilled kiwi was a part of the mixture.
Then there was dessert, which can be a part of the sides you choose when you make it a sack. We tried all three oreo, strawberry shortcake, and my favorite banana pudding... NOTHING DISAPOINTED.
If we lived close this would be a place we frequented often. So happy we made...

📍 21 S Perry St, Montgomery, AL 36104 I was in Montgomery for the day and this place was HIGHLY recommended and DID NOT disappoint! My cutie little hubby and I enjoyed it!
❤️ "Be the reason someone believes in the goodness of people." - You feel their slogan as soon as you walk in the door because you are welcomed with a smile, greeting, and warm atmosphere.
🍽️ Cute little place in the heart of Montgomery - within walking distance of beautiful Troy University. Once you walk in you see seating area to your right with lots of options to sit - booths and tables. To the left is the gift shop and where you can order food. Gift shop includes trinkets, books, clothing, jewelry, etc. CLEAN - the workers were seen sanitizing in between customers.
🥪 Food was AMAZING! I got the Club sandwich with banana pudding (best I have ever eaten) and pasta salad - awesome and refreshing! Generous portions and fair pricing. Each meal comes with Mama's signature Hershey kiss. I really liked that they wrapped the package with a sticker that said "Thank you for supporting my small business." I thought that was a sweet touch. Everyone from the cooks to the owner to the cashier was super friendly and warm!
👍 My family and I are definitely putting Mama's on our list of GO-TO places! - Calhoun County Mom...

Simple breakfast so hey I knew wouldn't take long, I can go on to work. 721am I'm still waiting on my food then Lady taking order was nice expressed sorry have big orders. I wished that was i had known. But a wsfa employee comes in the owner i guess rushing like crazy cause need to get orders put out. Also was extremely nice nasty talking to lady in front about a freaking phone order Not loud cause her voice is very soft then she roll eyes at the employee, showing straight frustration over a phone order WOW! Wait!! What about me. Little small breakfast bowl! I was asked if I wanted cup of coffee while I waited. Advised this is ridiculous no! I can't wait any longer. Just forget order and give to some one else or do whatever. WONT EVER GO THAT WAY AGAIN. To others this a good establishment to eat to me, not, cause I never got a chance to see due to long service wait and the way owner reaction with employee with a customer...
