I had the worst experience I have ever had at this Waffle House. Everything was going smoothly until my sister and I noticed that everyone that came in before us and AFTER us had gotten their food and gone or in the process of leaving. Before this, the young lady that had taken my order asked me what we were still waiting on and I told her, she went over to the lady on the line that was calling the orders and told her that she had skipped our order and that it needed to be called. She obviously didn't get what the young lady meant or she just choose to ignore her. Whatever the reason, I was there for an hour waiting on my food because when I asked for a refund I was told that they do refunds. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that the manager wouldn't be back until 8 o'clock in the morning. My family and I had traveled 9 hours from Tampa Florida and I had just graduated that Saturday. It was 12 something A.M. when we arrived in Montgomery and went into the Waffle House and it was 1:30 something A.M. by the time I received my order and 2 by the time we made it home and I had to be at work at 8 that morning. Needless to say I was one upset customer and actually threaten to do bodily harm, even with an armed officer standing on duty at the time. So you can imagine how upset I must have been at the time of the incident. I got nasty with the young lady that had taken my order, but I apologized to her because it wasn't her fault and she had actually done her job the best she could, by both taking my order and following up on it to make sure that it was being made. The breakdown came with the line or I should say the person calling the orders out to the cooks on the line.I don't recommend going to this Waffle House if it's busy, you may end up waiting a hour or...

I entered the place and the door was a little hard to open. It was raining. I thought it was just stuck. Silly me. There were some people inside eating. I hopped up to the bar. Nobody took my order. Nothing. One guy just stood there staring at me like he'd never seen a real person before. The lady walked past me without saying a word.
After 5 minutes or so of nobody asking me what I wanted to drink or whatever, I got up to leave. The door was locked. That lady must have walked past me to lock the door, without ever bothering to tell me they were closed. She probably locked it before I got there when I thought the door was stuck, but she was so lazy she didn't turn the locker knob enough. It took over a full turn to unlock. Big lit up sign WAFFLE HOUSE WAFFLE HOUSE and I'm hungry. I walked in but no food and less than zero service. There's no excuse for treating potential customers this way.
There were some other people coming in as I was leaving. Like I said, I had to unlock the door on the way out. I told them this place is probably closed but you have to figure it out on your own because it's a secret or something. You're not good enough for them to be honest to. They went in as I was leaving. I don't know what they said to the staff. The big lit sign after they close is just a very funny prank. I'm sure they're still laughing at all the stupid people who believed there might be food at this place.
Now I'm at home writing this and I'm still hungry. Maybe I'll make some ramen noodles or something.
Big WAFFLE HOUSE sign I could see from half a mile away. So I'm thinking, I haven't been there in...
Read moreMy experience was very disappointing at the Carmichael Road Waffle House. First of all, the on-line ordering is not detailed enough so I had to order extra items in an effort to receive the items I wanted. Secondly, upon pick up, the order was completely incorrect. Due to the fact that they have no onsite phone, I had to drive back to the location to address the issues. By the time I returned, to the store, naturally the food was cold and no longer fit to eat. I initially approached the staff pleasantly, understanding that mistakes do happen. However, the response was nothing but aggregation, exasperation and rudeness. I simply asked that due to the fact that the order was incorrectly completed, the entire order be recooked because it was now cold. I was basically laughed at and told that would not happed. I was informed that the temperature of my food was not on them. I explained that it certainly was because had the order been correct originally, I could have eaten it warm when I got home with no problem, but having to drive back presented a problem even with the few items that were initially right. I tried explaining that a little customer service, courtesy and politeness didn’t cost a thing, but the ugliness continued like a game. I ended up demanding a credit on my card and leaving with no food at all. Basically, my advice to readers is to save yourselves some time and frustration, as there are much more professional Waffle House’s to choose from near by. I hope this post helps. I sure wish I’d seen it before I tried to do business with them. ...
