You are dead right now... because you haven't lived until you've had Fontana's mozzarella sticks. These have singlehandedly ruined all other mozzarella sticks for me. I sat across from my boyfriend in the booth, contemplating how we can no longer drive by a Sonic to grab their cheap mockery of what mozzarella sticks could be. Do we now have to revolve our whole schedule around mozzarella sticks cravings and when to call ahead to order from Fontana's? I believe the only answer is yes. If the mozzarella sticks bring you to life, then the bread rolls are to die for. Buttery and perfectly seasoned, the rolls are amazing on their own, but they are absolutely divine dipped in the herbaceous olive oil. Every pasta entrée comes with a salad and rolls. And every pasta I have ordered so far has been a flavor explosion. The baked pasta combo took me on a tour of my nonexistent Italian Nonna's kitchen and made me sad that I have not visited her since that summer in high school. I should call her. The tortellini Michelangelo is creamy and tangy with their delicious pink sauce. The artichokes, mushrooms, and little slices of ham add another dimension of texture and umami. Don't forget to leave room for dessert, especially the tiramisu. This cloud of velvety mascarpone and bittersweet espresso will blow you away. This was our second time at Fontana's. We were sat in the same booth and taken care of by the same pleasant waiter as our first time here. Some people would say it's a coincidence, but I would say it's magic. This warmly lit, cozy restaurant reminds me of the scene in The Santa Clause when they go to Denny's on Christmas Day because the dad had burned the turkey, so much nostalgia for something I have never personally experienced. We will be back again and hopefully be sat at the same booth. I will most likely be frustrated again by how Fontana has ruined another restaurant favorite of mine. If that's not magic, what is?

My better half, who has cancer, has been wanting baked cheese ravioli. Since she's going through chemo she really doesn't feel like going out. So I decided to try Fontana's for a to go order which is located between Norman, where I live and the south side of OKC, where she lives. The food was delicious!!! The ravioli was perfect and the sauce was one of the best. Their fried calamari was cooked perfectly and is even good cold!!! The garlic butter dinner rolls even tasted good. The inside of the restaurant was plain but that's fine with me. A nice hidden gem and fine addition to my restaurant rotation. Good job guys!! Update: The love of my life and I decided to visit Fantana's on 22April2023. Relaxed and modest setting with classic Italian music playing. Very enjoyable atmosphere. We ordered the calamari and the beef baked ravioli. The calamari was even better then when we got take out. Seasoned just enough and beaded in what I think was panko. The beef raviolis were huge and delicious. No parmesan cheese needed here. The filling was plentiful and the sauce was spot on.

Had lunch here today and it was delicious! Pasta was perfect. Sauce (marinara) was perfect. Just what a good sugo should be; quality simple, minimal ingredients. Entrees come with a side salad and fresh baked bread with dipping oil (olive oil, garlic and herbs). Salad was basic and small, which is all that is needed with a rich meal. Greens were crisp and cold. House dressing was delicious (basic Italian dressing recipe w/a bit of tomato paste added). My husband loved his meatball and sausage w/ penne and marinara, baked w/ mozzarella. Entrees are generous portions and I took home half of mine for delicious leftovers later. Nice, pleasant, clean atmosphere (no high exposed ceiling or concrete floor, which have ruined the atmosphere in so many restaurants). Simple decor with beautiful lighting. Nice place for a romantic lunch/dinner, family meals, with a friend or solo. We'll definitely be back for more.

We will not be back! We have eaten here several times and the food was always the best Italian we have had. The wait time between ordering and receiving our food was never great, but we would overlook this because it was really great food and the service was really good. That all changed tonight.

We arrived at 7:30pm, 1.5 hours before closing. We waited 15 minutes for a table to be cleaned so we could get seated. Our waiter Ben took our drink order and brought our drinks out, with my iced tea only half full. He said they had ran out of tea, at which point I said no problem as I assumed they would make some more. My drink became empty rather quickly, but was left waiting over 15 minutes before Ben came over to check on us and this was only after the owner told him to go fill our drinks. I asked for some more tea, to which he replied that they were closing in 40 minutes so they aren't making any more and went on to another table without offering to get anything else for me to drink. My wife got his attention again and I was able to get a water. The owner came by a little while later to refill my tea glass, but also said they don't have anymore tea. My son got a pizza, which came out to our table luke warm at 8:20pm. Our food finally arrived at 8:30pm, an hour after we arrived. A medium group was seated next to us who waited some time for Ben to take their drink order. After taking their drink order, he had the only other waitress help him bring out the drinks. When Ben set the tray with drinks down on a neighboring table, he proceeded to criticize the waitress and demanding to know which drink was which. He then ran both of his hands through his hair before picking up the remaining drinks and putting them on the table. I took great offense to his behavior as it was not professional and uncalled for as the waitress was actively bussing the tables she had, but Ben was not.

To top it all off, when I went to pay, Ben tried to charge me full price for my one half glass of tea. When asked about it, he replied that they do charge for tea! I told him I only was served half a glass of tea and was told no more would be made. He very reluctantly and with much attitude took the tea off of my bill.

I don't normally write reviews, much less negative reviews, but this was the worst experience I have ever had! I find it amazing that they refused to make more tea, which is very cheap to make. I was also very taken back by the rudeness of our waiter Ben. I am sorry, but Fontana has lost our business and the business of 2 other parties because of what took place during our visit. I can sadly no longer recommend Fontana as a great...

Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Took my husband and children here because it was suggested on FB and we haven't gotten to go out to eat in a long time. The server was cold and unwelcoming the moment we walked in. I shrugged it off but it continued the entire time. I asked for waters and she rolled her eyes. I said thank you to everything she did and she would just grunt at me. When my chicken Marsala arrived, my heart sank. I really wish that I had taken a picture but it was really just noodles with what look like three cans of mushrooms dumped on top liquid and all. The sauce was pure water with no flavor and the chicken had been boiled and had no seasoning so it was white as paper. I haven't sent back food once in my life but there was no way I was going to eat it. I asked the server if she could exchange it for spaghetti and meatballs and she said "well haven't you ever had chicken marsala before" with the attitude of a teenage girl. I have absolutely had chicken marsala before and that was not it. When I saw how she reacted to my request I got uncomfortable so I immediately sought her out and asked her kindly to cancel the order since I had filled up on bread and appetizers. Honestly though it was afraid she was going to spit in my food. She threw her hands up again like a teenage girl and said "well I already put in the order" so I said that I was very sorry but I was not wanting to order anything else. She later realized that I was looking at her when she was talking about me to the other person working there and tried to fix it really quickly by rushing to my table and telling me that she had already canceled the order. I have never been so uncomfortable in a restaurant in my life and I've...
