Pokilicious Moreno Valley — Restaurant in Moreno Valley

I just left this location and haven’t been here for maybe a little over 2 months or longer only because I was addicted and visiting this place seriously 3-4x a week. I was very disappointed to know that they got rid of their original square bowls they stated off with and the prices went up. I’m extremely sad to say the least I moved out to this city 2 yrs ago and I come from Rowland Height if you know this city well y’all know that this is the capital (😂) of all things Poki, Sushi Asian food everything (locally). So when this location opened I truly felt like home. Their new black bowls are out of control experience for the sizes not to mention their scoops where to small to start with but it compensated for the size of bowls and the food was pretty good. It makes no sense with their 4 different sizes and the price. For this price I can drive back to RH for 11$ and get the size of the original large bowl and scoops are bigger. Or even a closer location in Ontario it’s unfortunate I cannot remember the name to this Poki because I’d give them a shout out on hear but it’s off of Vinyard right next to Starbucks thank me later 😘 anyway sadly I will not come back to visit this Poki I just can’t deal with ripoffs. I’d rather spend my $ else where being greedy is no bueno especially when a city like MV doesn’t have many Poki locations or good authentic Japanese Sushi locations. Not a Smart Move!!! So this business has been around and has changed owners before but it always has great staff and great food so there isnt much to complain about on the service side. The inside is always changing for events and holidays so the owner knows how to visually please the customers. The downside is he doesn't know how to make them comfortable consistently on the menu. Constantly there is a change to what is available and what he gets from his supplier. One week they give out a free scoop of avocado for kahuna bowls and the next its gone. The tuna is sometimes just not ordered or he just doesn't get it from the supplier so there was times where it was just straight crab meat and salmon choice only. They removed the spicy tuna and made it an extra charge the next week. The spicy tuna was replaced by spicy crabmeat and that tasted terrible. They started charging for seaweed so I never order it now. Then this past week they changed the spicy tuna to one scoop free on the kahuna but after that they charge. Then there was that week where they used cabbage instead of red leaf lettuce. They use to have other main options available but they ended up making them extra charge. Point is that the place has good service but an inconsistent menu. Even if it's on the menu board so people are aware of seasonal or weekly changes then it would be fine but having be told by the employees that something is extra or something isn't apart of their options...

the ONLY best Poke in MoVal, hands down! i came from the dentist and i was craving for poke, but i didnt wanna drive all the way to Day st. so i drove here instead, the guy who took care of my order was really nice and accommodating, i explained to him that my dentist numbed my mouth so i couldnt speak very well lol, but i guess he understood what i was saying, i chose the large bowl bec. im really hungry from all that drilling my teeth :P , and im glad i came here bec. they even have a larger size (even bigger than the large bowl). its also good to know that you have the option to have toritilla chips as your main base, will try that next time. overall, they have more protein selections. i will never step foot to ahipoki on Day St. again, i hope you guys will stay in business for a long time! cuz the restaurants in these locations doesnt last very long.

i love that once you eat your meal, the fish cubes doesnt run out first, (unlike ahipoki) and they said, they made their own soy sauce, and omg! try it! i chose the house special, and the eel sauce, it was really yummy! please do take advantage of their rewards! i discovered that late when the guy was making my drink and it applied 10% on my next purchase. oh well, i'll definitely...
