Poke N' Squeeze — Restaurant in Morgan Hill

I've ordered delivery from this place twice and sadly I cannot recommend them. I say sadly because the food is actually very good and I love that you can build your own poke bowl. But the service is dismal, and we will never order from here again.

The first time I ordered delivery was about a month or two months ago. It was Saturday night and the food arrived nearly two hours after the estimated arrival time I was given when I placed the order. Additionally, the driver never knocked or rang the doorbell, so we didn't actually know when he arrived. We had the porch light on and were in the living room watching TV, so we definitely didn't give the impression that no one was home.

The second time I ordered delivery was this past Monday. My husband and I traveled to Willows, which is a 3 hour drive for us, for a track day with our motorcycles at Thunder Hill Racepark. Because check in for these events is at 7am, we had to leave at 3:45am. We also didn't get home until 9pm. Needless to say, it was a long day of driving, hard physical work riding the bikes in 90+ degree heat, and driving home, all with about 5 hours of sleep. Needless to say, the last thing we wanted to do was worry about cooking something for dinner. So, we decided to try Poke n' Squeeze again. When ordered, I set the delivery time for 8:45pm, around the time we expected to be home, so we could unload the bikes and have dinner.

9:45pm rolls around, we've been home for 45 minutes, showered, still no food. Then I get a message from Yelp/Grub Hub saying they cancelled our order and refunded us. By that time, it was of course too late to order take out from anywhere else, and I was so tired I wanted to just go to bed without eating.

Why the restaurant never contacted us is beyond me, and that is poor customer service. I understand that places sometimes run out of foods, or are short staffed, or can't fill an order for some other reason. Just communicate that to me and I'll be fine, I'm a pretty reasonable person. If I had been told as soon as it was apparent that the order couldn't be fulfilled, I could have ordered take out from somewhere else and we wouldn't have been left hungry, tired, and then angry because we were hungry and tired and stuck having to figure out what to prepare for dinner. Needless to say, I am highly, highly disappointed. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this case was so beyond...

This Poke and Squeeze doesn’t stock their items well. I ordered a salad that’s supposed to use Romaine lettuce, but they were out of it. Two days later, I called to make sure it was made with Romaine lettuce because before they used spring lettuce, which is gross. This is two days later now, and they still don’t have Romaine lettuce. I’ve also been told at least 3 occasions that they don’t have chicken. Again, how do you not replenish items that go in your salad? You know when you’re running low, so why not buy more, so the correct...

My absolute favorite poke place and highly recommend!! That being said, I 100% don’t recommend ordering through DoorDash at all. They SKIMP on pretty much everything or will forget essential parts of the bowl entirely (like sauces, and one of the scoops of the PROTEIN) and from my experience they’ve never paid attention to the “extras”.
