Wow what an unfortunate experience. I’ve eaten at Willard Hicks in Campbell many times so we thought this would be a safe (if somewhat overpriced) brunch spot to get in and out as it wasn’t nearly as busy as stacks next door. We arrived at around 12:30 on Sunday to find 3 or 4 tables seated. We were seated and it took around 15 minutes for our server to get around to us the first time to bring water and take a drink order. He wasn’t able to provide any input on different alcoholic options (fine) so we ordered a latte and a beer. It took over 20 minutes for the beer and latte to arrive. In a mostly empty restaurant. My wife ordered the frittata and I ordered the steak and eggs. We had somewhere we needed to be at 2:00 but we figured 80 minutes is more than enough time for brunch at an uncrowded restaurant. Well, the food took almost an hour from the time it was ordered, and when it did arrive they had forgotten my wife’s side of bacon and my steak (while tasty, I’ll admit) arrived completely cold. Like no ambient heat from cooking remained whatsoever. We had been waiting very patiently for our food but when we finally mentioned that we had to leave in 20 minutes and asked if the food would be coming soon the waiter went to check to see if it was ready and we were told it would be 4 more minutes so not sure how the steak got so cold in that time. Finally when I told the server the steak was cold, his response was simply a flat “do you want it?” To which I was simply dumbfounded. No apology, no attempt to make it right, just so disinterested in anything to do with the job. I told him I definitely wasn’t paying for a cold steak that took an hour to arrive and he just walked away with the steak (sure take the steak but I’ve never had an experience where the food came out absolutely off and not had any attempt at an apology or anything.) We paid for the drinks and her food and left and we will not be returning. So disappointing. Maybe their dinner service is better but I absolutely cannot recommend them for brunch unless you have all day and you...

We were at Willard Hicks for Mother’s Day brunch today. Had no reservation, and were very lucky that they had one last table available for a party of 7 - albeit counter-high chairs. Worked very nicely for us.
We ordered a few appetizers, and then entrées.
Baked Brie Coconut Crusted Shrimp Cheese and Charcuterie Board (we requested them to remove all cured meats)
And for entrées, we got
Spicy Asian Mambo Steak Burger Poke New York Steak Grilled Swordfish
The Baked Brie was just amazing. Served with some house chutney and two types of bread. Everyone loved it.
The Charcuterie Board was a big hit on our table. The various types of cheeses, as well as figs, high quality dates (they had removed the pits), grapes, some sort of mustard chutney and candied walnuts.
I ordered the Spicy Asian Mambo. It was not much spicy, but they had used an Asian sauce which made the flavor pop... The filet was nicely done.
The burgers are actually huge. They had a big piece of filet meat in them, which makes them an interesting challenge to eat. Those who ordered them were barely able to finish half of their burger, and the rest went into to-go boxes.
By the way, the French Onion soup is extremely filling and can function as an entire entrée.
Swordfish was excellent. We requested spicy siracha sauce, which made the taste get even better.
The service was very attentive and friendly. They were able to make several accommodations to the food as there were a couple of food sensitivities in our group. Wonderful experience for our entire group.
This was our only second time here. The first time we came was several years back when WH had just opened and the experience was bit under-whelming. The ambiance and the service and the food will now likely make us a regular here. — at Willard Hicks...

There was no bar tender, and our waitress had to make our bar drinks herself. Took for ever to get them. The appetizers never came out. They brought our main entrées. We sent them back asking for our appetizers first. After 20 minutes hey finally brought our appetizers. We had already been there for almost an hour. An hour into our sitting, they finally brought our entrées but my father in law's was missing. He had ordered simple, steak and eggs. We asked for his meal twice. After another 30 minutes, I finally walked back into the kitchen entrance to complain to the chef. A short squaty gal said they never got the order but they would make it immediately. As I turned to walk out of the entry way to the kitchen she yelled out, " and stay out of my kitchen." I was in shock, and told her that I would come back again if the meal took that long again. She said she was calling the police. I told her to go ahead. I was in shock when she called 911 to complain there was a patron who would not leave her kitchen. I could not believe her attitude towards the entire situation! Needless to say, the police never showed up. My father never got his meal as he was so disgusted with whole situation he just wanted to leave. The steak I had was mediocre for a $60 price tag. It was cut thin and not cookef medium rare as requested. I had asked to speak with the manager and was told there was none on duty. At the end of our now quick meal, another waitress came over and said they were comping our entire meal. Noble, but can't buy off this poor review. That was the only thing they did right. I would not go back again. I'm sure I am on Morgan Hill PD's ten most...
