MOHI Farms is a fabulous atmosphere, great indoor & outdoor dining spaces, fun decor- a mix of modern industrial & boho chic. The food is fantastic, love the locally sourced products! The espresso is great, coffee bar is perfect for a quick morning stop! This has quickly become one of our favorite spots when visiting Morgan Hill!
Our first time here, we had dinner, didn't show up super hungry, we were enjoying the atmosphere & great company, and we chose items off of the menu that were phenomenal! With all of that said, it was a good thing that all of those things worked out well for us because the service wouldn't have brought us back if all of the other things hadn't been as good as they were. Nobody was outwardly rude, the hostess was friendly, she sat us right away, but it took about 15 minutes to even get water, and another 15 before we saw our waiter. We had plenty of time to have a great conversation, look over the entire menu, pick out our dinner choices & even decided on the afogato for dessert, before becoming annoyed. It was at about 1/3 capacity, not so busy to warrant such a wait to even be acknowledged. I started looking around to try to flag down anyone to ask if we had a server or if there was some other ordering procedure that we were just unaware of (being our first time). It's uncanny how all of the employees walking around have the ability to completely avoid eye contact, ignore you altogether & just keep walking by even when you say "excuse me". Finally I stood up to walk to the hostess stand and our waiter finally appeared. I said oh hi, I was just going to go ask how we were supposed to order & he said oh I'll take your order. I said great thanks. We rattled off our orders & even put in the dessert order as we didn't know at that point, when he'd be back. Our food came out about 20 minutes later & it was super yummy- so much so that we've actually ordered the same thing the following week when we're back in town! The boneless beef with veggies bowl & the butter chicken bowl- both outstanding! This has been our go-to place for morning lattes as well, their online ordering is ready in about 15 minutes & the people at the coffee bar are super sweet & friendly! Next we tried the Breakfast- BLT which is a sourdough sandwich BLT w Avocado (one of my favorites- hard to mess that up) but they put scrambled eggs in it, which sounded good, but the eggs were maybe powdered eggs or something, not sure, but they were mealy & gross. A waste of $16 unfortunately, because I ate 2 bites, then removed the egg, and tried another bite, but I couldn't continue. It was just not good. The breakfast wrap- again the eggs ruined the whole thing, so both of our breakfasts were inedible & tossed out. Our last day in town was a long one and we decided to grab our new favorite dinner to-go on our way out of town. When we walked in we noticed a lady sitting at a table close by. We ordered, waited about 20 minutes & this lady is still just quietly sitting there without even water on the table. I had hoped our only dine-in experience had been a fluke. I finally decided to say something to the girl working at the coffee counter. I quietly told her- that lady has been sitting there since we walked in, she doesn't even have water & I just watched a waitress clean off the table right next to her & didn't even acknowledge her. The employee was super sweet & she said oh I think she might be here for an interview & I said oh ok sorry, that same thing happened to us our first time in & if it hadn't been for the great food, we wouldn't have come back. She was surprised & apologetic & thanked me for telling her. She went over to the lady and asked her if she was there for an interview. The lady simply said no. The employee quickly ran to get her some water & said a few more words to her, then she went to grab our To-go order. I hope Management does something about the servers attitudes here- it would be a shame to let bad customer service ruin it...
Read moreThey have raw milk, my favorite dairy choice! However, their supplier, San Martin Milk Company, is gamier and slightly goat-y tasting compared to my staple brands Claravale or Organic Pastures aka Raw Farm. Like my usual brands, though, it's decently creamy and also doesn't have that cooked taste pasteurized milk has. It's also more local than OP which is in Fresno.
The ahi tuna "taco" appetizer was the best dish of the night. I could inhale several orders in one sitting if I weren't also getting an entree.
The meat in the short rib bowl was fork tender. I can see how others may call it bland but I personally prefer things to be a bit less heavyhanded with the salt. If I have to nitpick the carrots were super sweet as if artificially enhanced with sugar. I didn't want carrot cake in the middle of my mashed potatoes.
The weakest part of the meal was the flatbread. It wasn't untasty but the dough had a chlorinated aftertaste. Seems they use unfiltered tap water to make their dough.
The atmosphere could use some help. It's pretty disjointed. There's a bar and one of those sleek modern fireplaces, but shrieking children and a noisy fridge. The suede-like turquoise chairs and live-edge tables remind me of the furniture I picked at Cost Plus World Market for my own home. I could do with a different soundtrack, too, but that might be trying to be in keeping with the farm theme and is just a matter of taste.
I didn't experience poor service. I tipped 20 on everything but the milk of course since that's groceries.
4 stars, rounded up for the...

Here is feedback regarding my experience at MOHI today, can you please send this to Frank Leal?
I waited in line probably about 10 minutes to have my order taken. Once I had my order taken I was told that it was going to be a 5-minute wait for my matcha. I waited for roughly 15 minutes before I checked on my matcha that still wasn't ready. I was told that they were out of matcha and that they needed to check their back stock. I told them that I I would go put my groceries away and be back. She asked me if there was an alternative if they were out of matcha and I told her yes I would go ahead and take a chai. I came back after about 10 minutes and needless to say the matcha that I had waited a good 25 minutes for wasn't ready the chai was ready which was okay but definitely big disappointment after investing 35 minutes. Please do better, several other customers were waiting also for their drinks there was a big backlog and I wasn't the only one that was walking up to the counter to check on the status of my drink. This was this morning, Saturday, at...
