@Willys Wings located at the entrance of Morrison from C470. Great traditional buffalo wings and grub before a Red Rocks show! #wings #buffalowings #hotwings #colorado #coloradofoodie

I went here every day, multiple times a day (literally - pregnancy cravings... EVERY DAY), when I was pregnant with my daughter in 2000. The owners ran in then and told me if my baby was born a boy, I had to name him Willy, and a girl Wilma because that baby was going to be born a chicken wing. I haven't been in about a decade because I moved to the East Coast, but had to check it out when I visited Denver. It hasn't changed, except I didn't see the owners. I love these wings. They are crunchy on the outside, fall off the bone in the middle, the sauce has a ton of flavor and the Ranch (or Bleu Cheese) was refreshing. We got the hot flavor, and there was barely any heat in our opinion, but they were super tasty. Love the food, love the staff. The building itself also hasn't changed. It's in a very small building that isn't the classiest of places, but it was clean. If you like wings, I suggest you give it a go!

If Morrison can count as being a part of Denver, then I might have found some wings that HAVE to be in the top five chicken wings in Denver. Went to Willy's Wings as a party of two on 5 July (observed day off for 4 July) right at noon and was served without any wait. Ordered two Lunch Specials (wings, fries drink) for $10 each. Wings took about 15 minutes to reach the table as they are cooked to order. Well worth the wait (and the drive out to Morrison) as the wings were juicy, big and steaming hot! Friendly staff, very simple menu, and good amount of seating area inside and outside. Free parking immediately outside restaurant. Walls inside are covered with Avalanche and Broncos collectibles & framed collectors cards. Only one co-gender bathroom, though. Still, highly recommended if you are looking for really great chicken wings!

If I could give a 0 I would! Food was great as usual, but staff (cashier) was in such a mood! I was so confused because when we ordered she was so sweet and offered us to stay in the patio and rushed outside to clean it. We were just going to eat in our car, probably would have had a better experience honestly. Our food was late, we didn’t mind it because we understand and don’t get bothered easily. It was definitely within minutes of getting one part of our food (wings because fries were not ready) that we and the table next to us (seemed like a father and son who also had just been served) to let her know when we were done eating (she said it in such a rude way, which was very confusing because she was so nice prior). We as well with the family next to us were in shock and so confused because we had just received our food looked at each other not believing what we had just heard. We felt rushed to eat but we just brushed it off and continued trying to have a good meal. We were getting close to almost ending our meal despite feeling rushed and eating uncomfortably and in front of other customers, the same lady came outside to the patio and told us “are you guys ready? Are you guys done? We need those seats, we have other people waiting” we then were upset because we had already put up with her attitude and tried to be respectful but we told her if we could just finish our food in peace but we were so upset because it seemed like she was okay with making a scene and we just left.We usually go to their sister location in Wheatridge and thought it was nice to drive out to Golden and try the other locations. We were regulars as my husband, friends and I work right down the street, we will NOT BE COMING TO ANY LOCATION ASSOCIATED TO THEM. We will be passing along the word to those around us because no one deserves to be treated that way espcially if you are contributing to their business. I will take my money else where! So long story short, if you like to be rushed, disrespected and treated like garbage this is the place you should...

This place gives penny pinching vibes. It’s not very clean, very run down. I overheard the workers talking about a leak that the owner took years to fix. The cashier who bragged she worked there for 18 years had the worst attitude ever. Probably a good thing she continues to work there, because no other manager would put up with her rude customer service. She made us feel like we were a bother. She made sure we were aware of every extra charge and that there is only ONE free refill. It was uncomfortable, made us feel cheap, and insinuated that we wouldn’t be able to afford to eat there. After the awkward ordering and happily paying for our meal, my husband needed the restroom. I was going to use it after him. When he left the bathroom light on for me, she yelled at him to turn the light off right away. We explained I was going in right after, that’s why he left it on. She was so embarrassing (mostly to herself) and plain rude. As we were leaving, we asked for a box to go, she gave us one small one (after telling her we had over 10 wings left). When we asked for another, she reluctantly gave us another small one and we had to make it work. You would think everything was coming out of her paycheck. She was obviously more friendly to a certain demographic of people. She didn’t explain costs or refills to them like she did with us. We left there confused. We spent over $50 and felt like our business wasn’t wanted and like they did US a favor. Will never go back or recommend...

I grew up south of Buffalo, NY so when I moved out to Colorado I was hoping to find an at least decent wing place. Most places out here are epic failures when it comes to Wings but there are a couple hidden gems and WIlly's Wings is one of them. The wings are sauced perfectly and they have the crisp that all wings should have. My only gripe is their veggies should be upped a bit (come on people, its carrots and celery that are both dirt cheap to purchase in a store). I always do blue cheese and the dressing is good. I have not tried much of their other items because when I go here it is always to get Wings. I have had the fries and buffalo shrimp which are both good but those are not what my review is for. The review is strictly for those looking for a very good Wing place near the metro area of Denver. Prices might seem high but it seems like most places these day charge anywhere between $9-$14 for 10 wings. Their lunch specials on the weekdays from 11-3 I believe is very good ($8 for 10 wings, order of fries and a drink). Highly recommended and hope they stay around for good.

If you are checking them out just be mindful that their parking lot is something like maybe 10 spots and the place is super small. I usually try to park on the back road and just walk over and then I typically get my stuff to go since there is maybe 6-8 tables inside and then that outside...
