A Legna. owned and operated by two guys from Guatemala. the work on the details of the Pizza - truly over exceed the expectation of fireworks when you dive in to the aroma and the flavors. there are italian classic inspired. but, do you really need to be from Italy, to make pizza this good? I don't think so. I, myself am, from the motherland and cannot execute this greatness. let's start by saying that Pizza, back in the days in America was very similar to what Italian offer at home. Coal oven baked or Wood. Coal oven gives a round crunchy board with a floppy mid center, the Firewood instead, gives a perfectly crusty and well cooked all across the board Pizza. I had no expectation when I first walk in to the place. the website did not allow me to make a payment so, I decided to order take out and drive. Like many new restaurants in town, they don't have a full staff, considering of being new, cashflow may be tight, walking in to pick up goods, and see these two people operation working extremely hard to execute food, it's nothin less then inspiring. AS I said, there is no expectation where there is unknown. The Classica is a regeneration of bubbly mozzarella with slopped all around tomato sauce, there is a tough of secret parmigiano or pecorino, however, the first bite, gives you ALL you want from closing your eyes and think: I AM IN NAPLES The Margherita, is a slightly thinner crust, with slices of fresh - I''ll repeat - FRESH Mozzarella, and a succulent San Marzano sauce, nothing sweet or too acid, just cose to perfect. A load of fresh basil steam up from the center and unfold on your palate with crunchy texture, light and airy. Here's the catch, when Pizza is well made, and the dough is well levitated - it's way more pleasurable to eat, and does not make you feel stuffed. Pizza is supposed to be a pleasure to eat, the secret isn't in the topping, is in the way the dough works it's way to your palate.
these guys place a bet on their saving to assure to give themself and their family a better life. Isn't this the true dream of why many people come here ? no one would have probably rent the former - greasy trapped pizza place where now seats, one of the - Ill' Assure you best pizza place in Motown. the quality is superb, no pretending to be anyone other then what they offer. Do yourself a favor, before you compare them to the other places in town, assure you go and eat or order take out. It is worth every penny you're paying for and trust, also, in a moment where everyone out there feel the weight of Inflation, A Legna offer a TRUE Italian flare VALUE.
Keep up the good coming, Congrats, and...

Read moreI don't understand the high rating of this place. First time and last time i will ever come to this place. The place was empty when i walked in and that should have been a red flag. Pro: Employees seem nice & price wasn't bad. Con: the sausage parm has this terrible after taste almost like a weird chemical taste & the Prosciutto Pizza was so salty i couldn't eat it. If you have blood pressure, stay away from that pizza. What a waste of my money.
Reply: I am an advid reviewer on many restaurants and I will always keep it 100%. For the restaurant to insult me by suggesting that i do not know how certain dish are made speaks volumes of the lack of customer service this place clearly lacks. Your sauce/gravy was spoiled aka SOMETHING taste BAD! Your Prosciutto pizza LACKED balanced in ingredients if it taste like a pound of salt, you need to counter balance it with other seasonings. You have 1 star reviews here and i agree with them. You should go back and fix the problem instead of insulting. Ps: every restaurant in the area was packed but you guys were EMPTY on a beautiful summer night that was full of people everywhere....
