This is the one restaurant in Morristown that you don't want to miss!
So, we initially had to cancel our reservation because life happened - my wife went into labor! But let me tell you, Victoria, the manager over at Agricola, is something else. She made sure we still got to try their amazing food by having it delivered right to our doorstep. Talk about going the extra mile! This kind of customer service just creates lifelong fans, you know? Major kudos to Victoria!
The food was so good that we decided we needed to experience the restaurant in person. We were so impressed with Victoria that we made Agricola the first restaurant our newborn visited - a pretty special milestone!
Now, let’s talk food. We had one of their pizzas, the Field of Greens. They took slices of avocado and paired it with whipped ricotta. Sounds simple, but it’s genius! You get the creamy texture from the avocado and then this light, airy feeling from the ricotta. Throw in some pickled jalapeños and hot honey, and your mouth is in for a wild, flavorful ride. Oh, and can’t forget the kale with cider vinaigrette - it ties everything together beautifully.
Then we had the Grilled Kurobata Pork Chop. Juicy, tender, and grilled to perfection. And it came with pineapple and lemongrass fried rice. The pork chop is like a headliner at a concert, and the fried rice is the opening act that gets the crowd pumped. The sweetness of the pineapple and the tang of the lemongrass in the rice... man, it's a combo made in food heaven.
Anyway, Victoria and the folks at Agricola made our night special not once but twice. The food’s fantastic, but it's the people like Victoria that turn a meal into an experience. We’re definitely going back, and I suggest you check it out too. Agricola’s got themselves customers...
Read moreMy wife and I were walking past Agricola on Presidents Day and figured we’d walk in and give it a shot. We had our 2 month old daughter with us in a stroller and weren't sure if they were kid friendly, but they immediately opened the doors for us and gave us such a warm welcome. The hostess was so kind and welcoming and very accommodating to the table selection. We had a nice view of the open kitchen and were able to put our stroller right next to us.
We were greeted by our server Nazim who was so warm and friendly. He offered some recommendations, one of which was the Greek flatbread, which was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The experience was top notch. My wife and I split the tuna tartar, Greek flatbread, shrimp tacos, and salmon salad. Everything was so fresh and beautifully presented.
The second we left we already wanted to figure out when we would be back and immediately started recommending it to our friends and family. We just finished our second visit in 7 days with my parents who we brought to try out a Sunday brunch.
We made reservations ahead of time and let them know we will be bringing our daughter again and once again, they were so incredibly accommodating and thoughtful with the table selection. We were happy to see we were once again going to have Nazim as our server. He gave us another wonderful experience, and the food again was delicious.
We ordered one dessert to split, and the hostess came out with three for us to try as a thank you for coming back with guests. Not only were all the desserts incredible, but it was the gesture that was truly unexpected and such a great touch.
From the service to the food, I cannot recommend this place enough, and we will most certainly be back...
Read moreI went to Agricola with my husband and our friends for a nice relaxing Sunday brunch and had a disappointing experience. Sadly, there is not a great TDLR version of this story as it was truly a multi-faceted debacle.
The restaurant was quiet when we arrived. Two of us have dietary restrictions and stated them up front. We all ordered, and the waiter confirmed our choices would be fine with our restrictions. It took a while for our drinks to come out, and one was wrong, but that was no bother.
The real issue we had was with our meals. We received one of our 2 starters, but the second never came. After that, we waited and waited and waited for our mains. Once our food came, it was clear 3 out of four meals were very overcooked and had waited for ages to be served. The final meal was almost underdone because it turned out the waiter had forgotten to mention it had nuts on it, and they had to remake it for my friend with the nut allergy. During this time, we sat for almost an hour while no one communicated any of this to us. After, our waiter sheepishly asked how things were, and when we told him the food was not great, he apologised and walked off. The table next to us then leaned over and told us they were experiencing issues, having also been served runbery pancakes. Finally, we asked to speak to a manager, who was apologetic, but offered only to bring us new food, which we weren't keen on given the circumstances. They ended up heavily discounting our meal, but then called us after we left to tell us they gave us the wrong check and were going to charge us more. All in all, the 4 of us left feeling salty about the ...
