Very odd experience at this restaurant. Let me start by saying there was no one, except workers, at the restaurant when we arrived. We seated ourselves & then realized we had to actually go to the counter to order our food. When the food was brought to us it was all in “to go” containers minus lids for the soup! We had to set up our plastic silverware & napkins. Let’s talk about the food now. We started with mixed wonton & eggdrop soup & it was served with the typical noodles to put in the soup. However, the noodles were stale but before I could say anything our meals were served so I pushed the soup aside. My husband ordered pork egg foo young which came with fried rice & gravy. I ordered shrimp lomein which also came w/fried rice & both came with egg rolls. At first sight, we were surprised to see all orientals working there yet the food was very Americanized (lots of peas, carrots, etc). We were skeptical about tasting the food as it looked very bland & unappealing. We finally tried our dishes & realized there actually was NO flavor whatsoever!! I’ve never had bland Chinese food!! When my husband grabbed the container of “gravy” it was very dark sauce that tasted like it should’ve been on the lomein not the egg foo young. This was our first experience with this restaurant & it will be our last! $40+ later we threw it all away!!! Needless to say, the little bit of tasting we did repeated on both of us...
Read moreHorrible experience this past weekend. We dined in and my husband ordered hot chili sauce (extra). When we received our food, the hot chili sauce was chunky (not normally this way) and it smelled spoiled! Not a lot, like I could smell it from across the table without wafting it. My husband went up to the counter and tried to explain to the lady discretely as to not affect the other customers in the store. The lady responded “you don’t like hot chili sauce?” Making it seem as if he ordered it and didn’t like it. My husband replied with “I like it, it’s just not fresh” she then proceeded to give him Texas Pete packets (which are free) and my husband replied with “I want my money back for the hot sauce at least”. Well that just ruffled her and her husbands feathers! They starting talking about us in their native language with no tact or decency. After shelling out almost $50 for food you would think they would have a little respect for their customers. If you come here beware. Check your bok Choi because mine looked yellow but was still sautéed in with the meat. And definitely smell your food to see if...
Read moreOwners are friendly food is good and never have any issues Update: decided to go get some lunch and I have not been here in a while. Needless to say I wasn't happy with what I got. I guess since the last time I have been here they changed the way they make the food. The pork egg roll was horrible. Even the inside didn't look any thing like they used to have. It has a very bad smell along with a very bad taste. Guess I'll have to find a new place if I want Chinese food for lunch. After that though it may be a while before I do. Didn't eat my lunch threw it away. And wasted my money yet again at another...
