College Square Mall is actually great for our "small town." The mall hosts major retailers such as Belk's, Dick's, Kohl's, American Eagle, Bath & Body, etc. The town's only movie theater is located at the mall. It also has a free small play area for smaller children. There is also a place called "Family Fun Zone" which offers a multitude of things for kids to do, but at a price. There is a massage place that has been there for years that is wonderful, and a pet store. It also has a Books a Million, FYE, and a few other game stores. Scattered amongst the big box stores are small stores that have unique selections and also food places. There is Auntie Annes, a larger mexican restaurant, and a few smaller places that offer unique things such as rolled ice creams, coffee cafe items, etc.. Over all the mall really does have a great variety to choose from and serves the Lakeway Area well.
The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is because the hours suck, I wish they were open later. Also, there are always rumors of poor management of the mall and how they treat the tenants of the mall. There has been enough "proof" over the years that I can believe the rumors. Steep raising of rent, playing favorites, not trying to retain or bring in larger big brand name box...
Read moreMalls aren't what they used to be - I think we can all admit that. The advent of online shopping has changed shopping forever... but as far as malls go, at least this one is better than Knoxville Center Mall. There is a book store, which is a huge plus. The FYE has plenty of fun stuff to purchase. Female clothing stores are abundant, and with Dicks and Hibbetts, there are plenty of options for the sports lover in your life. Belk has a nice selection of on-fleek ties and dress clothes for the stylish male. There aren't many food options, so no food court is available. The movie theater is nice and keeps the latest blockbusters at the ready. I also worked here from 1996-99, so I have a lot of fond memories of how it used to be - which can sometimes make one less likely to embrace the changes since then. Overall not a terrible mall, just kind of middle of the pack. Place gets huge kudos for having a Longhorn Steakhouse within ten paces of the...
Read moreNot much stores that are interesting. The teens has to b out or with adult after 6:00 p.m. and this is why our teens get in trouble bc they us nothing to do in this town. The stores are open then close down don't stay long and think hours should b open later than just 9:00 the food court is a joke and so expensive u can't afford it. No arcade offered for kids only offered for kids us a lil play area for kids that us 1 year old to maybe 3 yrs of age but it's very loud and crazy kids running and screaming every where in a space no bigger than a bathroom area size. The bathroom area is only offered in one location and it's a good walk if u are clear in the side of Belks. Just the saddest mall I hv ever seen and the movies are so expensive u can't go if yr low income and not come out no lesser than 60.00 bucks and the food is so...
