I was in the area picking up a water bottle for my son for his summer camp and upon leaving noticed a Penn Station in the Park West Village shopping center. I had received a bogo sub offer in an email for a first time customer. I figured what the heck I will get me and Gabe a sub and pack one in his lunch for camp tomorrow. I stopped in and Madison was working, I said hey Madison, I'm new to the store but have a coupon, I was wondering if I could use it here? I mention to her that it states it's actually for a store in Cary but she reassures me that she will accept it here. She says I have to clean the grill so just wait and then you can place an order. I said ok and politely waited. 15 minutes passed as I stared at my phone waiting for the time to pass. I told her I'd like to order 2 grilled subs. She rolled her eyes as if to imply I was an annoyance to her and she wished I would just leave. I assume it's because she cleaned the grill and now she will have to clean it again due to the fact that I'm ordering a grilled sub. Anyhow I place my order and she points toward the register. I get to the register and show her my bogo coupon and she now informs me she isn't taking the coupon after just telling me should would and making me wait 15 minutes for her to clean the grill. As a first time customer this experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth about Penn Station Subs. I have to say I was looking forward to giving it a try but I am thoroughly disappointed with the customer service offered at this store. I will not be bringing my family, friends or recommending the store to anyone...
Read moreToday I decided to give my local Penn Station another opportunity to repair the relationship; of which I have enjoyed for many, many years in other states I've lived in.
The guys inside had their mask on!!!! Amazing that they were being so mindful with food prep and cook. Thank u for reducing my stress levels.
Next, treated me with respect and the gentlemen that took my order was very professional and proactive.
Proactive because 1st he double checked that I said I wanted extra onions, 2nd taking his gloves off to take my cash and not using the same gloves he took my order with, 3rd as small as it seems, by making sure he gave me a packet of baslmic vineagertte and he didn't even have to.
Thank u for restoring my desire in wanting to come back and refer. Keep up the great professionalism. I truly appreciate Penn Station as front line workers to continue trying to keep a sense of normalcy for us. Thank you for serivce and willingness!
10/14/20 6:30pm I went in today again to get the same order above and I had the same great experience accept; this time (smiling like a little kid), I received 3 packets of balsamic vinegertte and 3 Cachups for my fries and I used them all. I love the taste of vinegar on my fries, it's why I also go there. Nobody can beat their fries. Thank u Penn Station...
Read moreZero stars if i could. Walked up to the door and employee was holding the door. I greeted him as I walked through the door. Apparently he was holding the door for a female employee who was behind me. He said "why did you walk in before a female"? I said what are you talking about. He said "I was holding the door for the female and you walked in front of her". I said ok then turned around to leave. He said "oh so now you don't want to eat". I then turned back around and went to the counter to order. He came to the counter and I said I walked in because you were holding the door open. He said "yeah I was holding it for the female" I said I didn't see her and I thought you were holding the door for a paying customer. He said "yeah but you still shouldn't have walked in before the female". I turned around to leave and he said "oh so now you want to debate rather than eat" So unnecessary. You don't have to worry about me walking through...
