It is too bad the service is so inconsistent here. I like Dunkin' Donuts, having moved here from New Hampshire. Unfortunately, some of the incompetent staff ruin it for the few excellent staff members they have.
The two issues I have with this visit are:
If I ask for four pumps of mocha in my coffee, it means FOUR (4) (quatro). It does not mean 2 and a half, a little squirt with the "ketchup squirter" filled with mocha, or whatever you feel is appropriate - it means F-O-U-R. I have had a problem with this at least a dozen times during my 2 year stay in this area. A dozen times!! Today was no exception. I ask for my coffee this way because I like my "iced coffee" to taste more like "chocolate milk." Is there some hidden message in my coffee request? "regular cream, 4 Spenda, 4 pumps of mocha!" What is so difficult??!!
Some of the people who work here think they are supposed to toast the flat bread sandwich with the egg. NO - this is NOT how you are supposed to make this sandwich. Making this sandwich like this results in the bread being hard and crusty. Please review your training materials and videos and learn how to make this sandwich the right way OR find a new job. I could excuse this if it is busy, but it was not. I was the only car in the drive thru. My flat bread sandwich actually tasted BURNED because it was!
It probably sounds like I am being a picky customer, but I promise I am not. I am willing to overlook SO much as I have worked many years in food service. NO ONE likes the customer who complains about EVERYTHING and I try to avoid being that guy, but if I am paying almost $6.50 for a flat bread sandwich and a coffee, I EXPECT CONSISTENCY at least half of the time!
Please fix your problems so that you can keep future customers. I might visit a time or two before I move in 11 days, but doubt it.
9/10: To the guy with tattoos who doesn't take his job seriously enough to wear a name tag: Why is it your business to question how I order my coffee? Yes, I am quite aware that the mocha syrup has sugar in it (DUH) and I order it with Splenda too. No, it isn't because I "really like the taste of Spenda," as you asked, it's because I try to save calories where I can. The employee SHOULD NOT ask the customer questions about WHY they order a given product as it is the employee's job to make the coffee, not judge it! Unbelievable.
9/11: I know Pumpkin and Mocha both have two syllables, but do they sound THAT alike? This is the third time I have asked for Mocha in my iced coffee (as I always do) and had the crew person give me pumpkin instead. She told me that I asked for Pumpkin so that is what she gave me. Uh, no. I order the same thing every single time lady! I am SO tired of people who aren't trained well, don't care, or don't pay attention! This is why I can no longer go through the drive thru.
What ever happened to quality employees? I know that the pay is terrible, but the job is so much better when you make the customer happy! I have the right to gripe because I've been a food service employee before and actually CARED to make the...
Read moreThis place was okay. It seemed to be run by teenagers that were always playing around, flirting with each other in front of customers but at least tried to get things done. Service was slow due to the reasons mentioned above. Eventually, new management came in and things seemed to have improved a bit...but not for long.
Orders are always wrong and you end up with caramel cappuccinos that taste like plain coffee and cream. Where's the syrup?
My favorite drink is the dunkacino, I told my boyfriend to order that after several attempts of trying different flavored cappuccinos and each tasted like nothing but coffee and cream. Today, the dunkacino machine was not working or so we were told over the drive-through. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese muffin, one large Irish cream cappuccino with one shot of espresso and one medium red velvet cappuccino. Greeted by less than friendly people at the window. I was handed the Irish cream cappuccino and I asked if the shot of espresso was added. No. There were three people by the window, a young man by the espresso machine, a woman by the register and the other young man handing out the food. The gentleman by the espresso machine was annoyed at the fact that I requested one shot but the woman who took the order didn't add it to the order. Taking out your frustrations at the request of a customer isn't a great idea. Being snappy while the customer can hear you isn't a great idea either. The gentleman who prepared the coffee handed the cup to the woman and while she was close to the window she chose to hand the cup to the other young man that was doing something else and she stood there waiting by his side. Why couldn't she hand the cup to us instead of making us wait even longer?
Got home and took the muffin sandwich out. Nothing but egg in it. Irish Cream didn't taste like anything at all. Just sweet coffee. The red velvet tasted like something but not sure what.
Not giving my money to a place that is not training its employees correctly. Spend the time and hire people who will do the job right and stop hiring bodies to fill the positions they're not right for. Train them on how to make drinks accurately before they run your...
Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE..OWNER was very RUDE and HEARTLESS!!!...Please AVOID ordering cakes here for BIG PARTIES!!! recently ordered 3 cake for my son's graduation party to serve 150 people. Marcus the cake decorator was awesome and took care of my design needs. He had also sent me pictures of the cake he made for my party a day before. The DISASTER happen on the day of the party, my friend had the cake picked up and the person at the counter assured him that ALL the 3 cakes were in the box. When it came to cake cutting time, there was just ONE cake. We were so embarassed and heart-broken to see just one cake and the guest were disappointed thinking that we just ordered one cake to feed 150 people. We had no choice but to cut only the one cake. I called the store right away at 9;30pm and the guy who answered the call said he'll call me back but didn't. I called back and asked him for my other 2 cakes and by the time my friends picked up the cake and returned to the party it was almost 10;40pm AND COULDN'T USE THE CAKE as the guest were leaving....so we ended up dumping the cake!!! Call the store the next day to say what had happened and Ms. Victoria answered and told me the OWNER will call me back and he NEVER bothered. Manage to get him on the call after a couple of days later. He was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and did not feel or say sorry for what had happened but instead asked if we could return the other 2 cakes. His stupid point was that "oh well you picked up the other 2 cakes" he was very RUDE and HEARTLESS!!!...Please AVOID ordering cakes here for...
