While McDonald's food is pretty much "McDonald's Food" nation wide, it's the individual franchises, owners, stores, and their managers who make the impression on whether I "like" or "dislike" a chain. I'm not commenting here on the food since it is what it is for the most part. What I don't like here is the store. This store, by signs on the windows and doors, participates in Google Pay, Apple Pay, and NFC. Every drive-thru that I've been to that has this so far either has a credit card reader that they hand out to you in your car for you to tap your phone on or they have a reader right at window height that is weather shielded. Here, they ask for your phone, unlocked, then take it inside and use a register inside. This makes me nervous given the access that gives them so I don't allow this. It just seems quite disingenuous to say that you support a method of payment, then make it nearly impossible to actually use in a responsible manner. Recently, I've come by to find employees smoking right in the doorway. North Carolina, is a "Smoke Free" state when it comes to restaurants. These employees weren't smoking away from the door with the door closed but rather, were standing half in the "air-trap" lobby and half outside. Also, this is Oct 7 in North Carolina so the temperature was about 68F/20C. I could maybe, understand or sympathize if this was January in Chicago with a -15F/-26C actual with a 40MPH wind blowing, but not when it's nice enough that you would still be able to swim outdoors without being too cold. This restaurant's owner needs to take a bit more pride in how...
Read moreI’ve had good and bad experiences here at this location.
Good- Some of the staff members are really sweet and would sometimes brew a hot pot of coffee for me in the evenings. The regional manager who sometimes visits this location is really sweet and would make sure I get my order quick and fresh!
Bad- I usually go here in the evening, I make a quick stop for coffee while I’m walking and their schedule is just weird. Sometimes they’re open and sometimes they just lock their doors. There is no fixed time for this. They should really have standard timing for this.
Also, sometimes when you go inside the store they would pretend they did not see you unless you call then out like 10 times. They mainly focus on the drive-through orders more than the in-store orders.
And I witnessed one thing just a few days back (did not happen to me). One little kid may he 10-12 walked in to place an order and this employee straight-up said we’re not taking in-store orders. While I’m there waiting on my in-store order (mobile order pickup). And few minutes AFTER the kid left someone else came in to place the order and their order was diligently taken.
Don’t know what’s up with these guys, but they should really improve their customer service and have fixed timing for...
Read moreAfter making several compliants it seems like finally some improvementsort are being made.
Cooks don't speak English and menu items don't make since. For example double quarter pounder. with cheese should be an option and not part of the name. Many times I asked for no cheese and I got the cheese. So I stopped ordering that.
When you order a drink. Have paper towels handy. The cup is always wet when they give you the drink. They never wipe it.
Food in general is hit or miss. Some days the nuggets are from heaven and taste like the best nuggets on earth. Other days it's a piece of rubber and tastes nasty. Some days the grilled chicken tastes like it's out of the grill. Other days it tastes like it's been sitting out in the sun for a few hours. There crispy sandwiches are all spicy as hell. And there fries is hit or miss too. Sometimes perfrction. Others they got it right but over salted the fries. And lastly sometimes the fries are very extremely soggy.
Some of the staff there look like they have attitudes. While others are egar to make your experience a good one.
They have potential. But at the end it's a low paying job that no one really wants. So expect from time to time...
