We want to keep liking this restaurant, but they are making it difficult to do so. Our latest delivery was left on the ground by the door. In the past someone has always knocked and then handed us our food. This time, they just left it. Once we determined by the App that our food had been delivered, we discovered it was on the ground, by the door. The pizza was completely cold. I just don't know why there was no knock on the door to alert us the food had arrived. Lately, the food is just okay here when in the past it has been pretty good. We don't eat at the restaurant anymore because that whole eat in situation is just wacky. The kitchen has their own music blasting and then they play other music in the dining room. The kitchen music is boricua and the dining room is that myriad of Italian songs (Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, etc) tha5s supposed to provide some kind of atmosphere. You can hear both and it's really stupid and annoying. It is obvious that kitchen staff runs that place and the owners can't tell them anything. When we asked the owner about it, he turned the fans on the heat system instead of turning the music off or down in the kitchen. Also the heat was not on when we arrived and the dining room was very cold. Is he afraid to ask his own staff to turn off the music? When does the entertainment of the staff rate over the paying customers? Our food was rushed and not cooked enough. We ordered mozzarella sticks and they were about the same as eating string cheese sticks from the fridge - no melt at all. When we asked about it we were advised to order fried ravioli next time. Who does that? Who offers different food to make up for other food cooked poorly - just cook the food correctly - again a kitchen issue. The fries are always served raw too. I don't even bother to order them here anymore because they don't even try to cook the fries enough. The owners and the kitchen staff clearly don't understand the food they are serving. Strangely some things will come out alright and you can enjoy your meal. We had their lasagna recently and it was very good. It's up and down with them. That same day, we were seated at a table that had about a two inch difference on two legs. The amount of wobble was so comical it was as if we were on a boat. This was no paxk of augar under a leg to fix it situation - this table was fukecd! We were the first customers seated so we just switched tables and when they came back to us we explained why and showed them. Then they immediately walked back up front and proceded to seat a family at that same wobbly table for which they had done nothing to fix it. This family split into two groups and the children sat at the wobbly table and wiggled it back and forth the whole time and thought it was hilarious. Whatever. We only go there because my partner is from the Chicago area and he likes getting food he remembers like the beef sandwiches. We will continue to order occasionally but it is with regret, because the food used to be excellent and now is...
Read moreI rarely leave a review especially if it is negative but my experience at this restaurant was abysmal. I went to this establishment in 2021 and it was pretty dang good. I don't know if its new management but sheesh. My friend had a taste for deep dish Pizza so I said well I remember Rosati's and it was pretty good. We ordered Garlic Bread and Deep Dish Pizza with Peperoni and Sausage. The Garlic bread was similar to bread sticks that you would get in the frozen section and microwave. The Pizza was worse piled with overly large chunks of tomatoes and runny. If you notice the slice looks more plain because when you lifted the slice everything else slid off. I took one bite and my stomach immediately felt bad. When the server came I asked her if we could have a discount on the pizza as we are not eating it. She replied you didn't like the pizza before it came. I said excuse me. She said I heard you talking about pizza. I said we were talking about watching a video and why my friend had a craving for deep dish. But that's besides the point we are not going to eat the pizza. She said well maybe I bring you a box and you can enjoy it later. I said no we aren't going to eat it at all. She then looked right at me and said what do you do for a living? Are you a food service worker. I looked at her and said no I'm retired from 2 jobs and I run a production company why does that matter. She then said oh your way to young to be retired my apology. But I will do 10 % and motioned me to give her my card. I said your not understanding. Normally people will come into a restaurant and order food if they do not eat it they asked that it be removed from their bill if they did not eat it. I do not like doing that so I am asking that you discount this more than 10% as my Bill is $52 dollars for 2 sodas, Garlic Sticks that we ate 1/4 of and a Pizza that we both took 1 bite of. little did she know I was going to tip her not only the difference but extra for being accommodating. She responded ill only take off the bread sticks. At that point I should have just said I am not paying for anything but I do a food show called Triangle Tasters on You tube and id never do that. She Then motioned for me to give her my card. I then asked for her to bring me the new bill first. She brought a New Bill and boxes and I stated again to keep the boxes we are not eating it. My stomach was tore up for 2 days I finally ate something on Monday Night and my experience at this place was...
Read moreShort: Rosati's will not honor discount coupons that they advertise in the GoPlaySave coupon book (or app).
We have come to the Morrisville Rosati's in the past and always thought the food and service were good. Today when looking through our GoPlaySave coupon offers, we saw Rosati's listed and thought we would give them another visit.
Everything was fine until we decided to order pizza and use the GoPlaySave coupon to buy an 18 inch pizza and get a free 12 inch pizza. The menu did not list 18 inch pizzas, so we asked the server. She said that 18 inch pizzas were only available for carryout, not dine-in. We thought this was strange, so asked about the coupon offer. The server replied that the coupons were only valid for carryout, not dine-in. (This is not true - I checked the fine print and there was nothing on the coupon saying that it was only for carryout.). She also said that we could not use that coupon since 18 inch pizzas were only available for carryout.
After we showed her that the coupon had no such restrictions, she said that she would call the manager to check. In the meantime, we decided to just use a different GoPlaySave coupon for 15% off the total bill at Rosati's. When the server returned to take our order we showed her the second coupon and said we would just use it instead, she again said that we could not use it except for carryout. We asked to speak to the manager, and she said she had called the manager, but he did not pick up/answer his phone.
At this point, we decided to just leave. The server then said she would give us her "personal discount" of 10% off, but it was too little too late. Why place an offer in GoPlaySave if you do not intend to honor it? If you want to restrict it to carryout, then just make that part of the terms of use, clearly communicated in the offer so people can see that before the drive across town to the restaurant.
We wonder if Rosati's is under new management/ownership now? We used coupons there in the past with no problems.
There were very few people in the...
