ALDI — Local services in Mount Airy

Personally I love Aldi as a whole. However this store is one of the worst.

Shelves are consistently empty. I cannot shop here with any level of dependency as the items I am needing and wanting our frequently out of stock.

Isles are often cumbersome to get down. From large bins of empty cardboard to empty pallets to workers working pallets it is impossible to get through the aisles in my wheelchair let alone with a shopping cart.

Employees are often working with headphones in so can’t hear customers when approached.

Employees frequently lack courtesy. Even when checking out the level of interaction is minimal and ill-mannered. Additionally items are constantly miscounted at the check out. I have noticed an item inflation on several occasions

Shopping carts are often filled with of garbage and maintained in a filly manner.

Produce usually has rotten components.

Bathroom cleanliness is not maintained.

Posted price and check out prices are inconsistent.

If you are attempting to get hot Aldi Find items this store is not...

I like this market...there was plenty of parking just remember you will need a quarter to rent a shopping cart (quarter is refunded when cart is returned) the produce and meats were fresh and reasonably priced...the selection of meats was impressive...the prices are competitive and most kitchen staples are available for purchase but the store doesn't offer a huge variety of any particular item and some needed items may not be available...the brands are obscure or something unheard of but the products are generally on par with more well known or national brands...there is generally a wait when checking out at peak times...the cashier was overall unfriendly and appeared to dislike their job...also to help keep prices low, you are responsible for bagging your own groceries and you must either bring a bag or purchase one at checkout, personally I liked bagging my groceries because nothing was smashed and I could organize by which part of the kitchen it would be...

I love this place. You will need to bring your own shopping bags or boxes to put groceries in and a quarter for the shopping cart. The quarter deposit is a brilliant idea - there are no carts loose in the parking lot causing damage to your vehicle. Your quarter is refunded when the cart is returned. There is plenty of convenient parking. Store deals are displayed conveniently at the front door so every shopper can take advantage of the sale items. Their prices are very reasonable. I wish there was more choices in the produce section. The meat section is well stocked, and reasonable prices. Dairy and staples are basic items. The store doesn't offer a variety or national brands but ALDI is a German based food chain and their brands are very similar. Checking out was a breeze. Impressive check-out speed. Bag your own groceries either in your trunk or on the convenient shelves...
