This is a great little place for little plates of popular Lebanese food. There is limited seating as it is in The Marketplace, and this is squeezed in between a bakery and a brewery. There is also a limited selection of drinks, including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, tea, water. The service is personable and efficient. The owners prepare and serve your food. We ordered their recommendation of the Beirut platter for approximately $30, which included a little of everything(all of the starters). The hummus and baba ghanoush were very fresh and tasty with the manakish flatbread. The falafel and tabboulee were delicious, and tasted authentic to me. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the kibbee. We had never had it, and the components looked interesting: herb sauteed ground sirloin, sweet onion, toasted almonds and yogurt. Although we found the chicken and kafta kabobs tasty, the meat was somewhat dry. We loved everything but the last 2 items. We ordered extra kibbee. Our dessert, baklava, was amazing. Had to order another serving. You get 2 small squares for $3. They are not serving one of their desserts, maamoul, during the hot summer months. Only the baklava was available on this day, but it was soooo good! I recommend especially all of the cold starters and the baklava. We plan to return. Next time might try the ka'ak for...
Read moreWe were wandering around Mt Dora to see what sparked interest and we decided to give this place a try. We’re big fans of falafels, gyros/donair etc. and there’s no great place locally so we had high hopes. The two gentlemen working there made us feel at home and had us laughing right off the bat. Very personable. We chose the sampler platter for the ladies to split and I had the gyro. The platter was excelled. Hummus, baba ganush(sp?), tabule and lamb/chicken skewers. The ladies were quite happy. All very tasty. I should mention before I go any further that I’m a bit picky when it comes to gyros. I’ve been served so many bad gyros that I’m at the point of almost expecting disappointment when I order them. The last one I was served was flat processed meat strips and just awful. But here, the gyro was perfect. Moist, well seasoned, good balance of contents in the pita. Also came with a bit of hummus and some spare pita. We sat outside and people watched and enjoyed a perfect Sunday lunch. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for this type of regional cuisine. And if you are not familiar with this type of food, I can’t think of a better place to give it a try. Be adventurous and do it. We’ll be back this week to try the shawarma, another of my...
Read moreBeirut Bites isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a place that nourishes your soul. The kipe was absolutely delicious — crispy on the outside, perfectly seasoned, and filled with flavor that took me straight back to my childhood. My dad used to take us to a Lebanese restaurant in the Dominican Republic, and this brought back such warm, nostalgic memories. The Dubai chocolate and the cookie was rich, smooth, and divine — truly a luxurious treat.
But what touched me most was Patricia, the daughter of the owner. Her energy was radiant and loving. She was incredibly caring and personal with me — she made me feel seen, welcomed, and safe. The big, heartfelt hug she gave me created a beautiful bond I’ll never forget.
Thank you, Beirut Bites, for not only feeding my body but also touching my heart strings. I’ll be back...
