Unfortunately our first and last time at this location. We came in to make a to go order and were told to sit at the bar in order to be helped. we sat at the bar and a lovely woman sat after us to also get a to go order. the bartender with purple/red hair and a rose with a dagger tattoo came to take the orders and went to the woman first instead of us. thankfully, the woman spoke up and told her we arrived before her and our orders should be taken first. the bartender made almost a sour face expression then came to write our orders on the notepad. we told her exactly what we wanted and watched what she wrote. then she took the other woman’s order and continued bartending. it literally took the kitchen over an hour to bring both our to go orders. we walked in at 5 and didn’t get our food until almost 6:10, red flag #1. they also brought the woman’s food out first even though we gave our order first and arrived first. red flag #2. the whole time we all were waiting for our orders, the bartender never once asked if we wanted a glass or water or something. we were actually thirsty but she clearly didn’t care. she made sure to check on every single other person dining in, though. it was incredibly rude and not customer service like at all. they finally brought our order and guess what!! IT WAS THE WRONG ORDER! i told the bartender no cheese and no ranch on my chicken wrap. guess what was on there :) we ordered 2 different crispy wraps and they gave my bf a grilled one :) so we had to flag a manager down to get assistance. the manager woman with glasses was sweet and helpful, but it still took too long for the to go orders and still long for it to be corrected. she gave us our food corrected on the house (as they should) but definitely will not go back to this location. go to hendersonville, they wont...
Read moreNever in my life have I had a restaurant experience as bad as this (and this does not speak to all Cheddar’s, just this location). We arrived a little before 5 and the restaurant was nearly empty. We order croissants as an appetizer...they weren’t even taking that long, but the waitress came out and said “they’ll be out any minute, they’re in the oven now”. They eventually come out, so cold that the butter doesn’t even melt on them.
Fast forward, waiting for our meals. Waitress comes out to say she’s sorry for the wait, the kitchen is short staffed and the manager is going in there to help. We’re fine, we have no problem waiting. Until 4 families (same amount of people or more than us) get their food before us.
My father goes to the serving area to look for our waitress or speak to a manager. The food then comes out. He’s clearly irritated, but being respectful to the waitress still (and as a server myself, I’m about as understanding as it gets). All my father says is that there is no reason all of the other tables who ordered after us should have their food, and that he hopes we get something taken off the bill.
Our waitress remained quiet, not apologetic but not rude either. A male server came out with us, and he walked away saying “that’s hilarious” very sarcastically, and he said it in a way that he wanted us to hear it. I immediately demanded a manager, and he began cussing at us. He threatened us and told us we “better watch out”, and called us “pieces of shit”. All 4 us of us then stood to go to the kitchen and speak to the manager. He became more belligerent, cussing, and his coworkers were literally holding him back because he was trying to physically attack us.
Hopefully this restaurant either learns how to better train their servers or hire people with actual customer...
Read moreIt was a Friday night and we were a party of four. Our server was polite and funny but very over-worked in our section. We ordered drinks which came in a reasonable amount of time. We got a plate of those yummy croissants, too. But after that... crickets. We watched our server running around like a headless chicken for half an hour. She never checked on us and we actually had to flag her down from across the room so we could order food. She says "you haven't ordered yet?" Ummm, no we haven't and people who had been seated aftrr us had been served. So, we placed our order. Mine was steak (8 oz med-rare) and ribs with broccoli cssserole and a loaded potato. 30 minutes later our food comes out. I don't remember the other people's orders in my group but one had the fried chicken and potatoes and specifically said NO GRAVY ... she had gravy on her chicken and potatoes and we had to send the dish back and she waited another 20 minutes for a corrected order. I think the other 2 in my group were satisfied or otherwise had no complaint. My ribs were cold, fatty, greasy and way overcooked. My steak was almost raw, i could only eat the outside edges (the seasoning was great, though) Fortunately for me, i took it home and sliced it, sauteed it with some peppers and onions and it was great over mashed potatoes! I thought the broccoli casserole was a little too cheesy (if there is such a thing!) but it was kind of paste-like. And a loaded baked potato is only cheese, butter and sour cream? Since when did bacon drop off the "loaded" list? This was my first experience at a Cheddars and I wasn't impressed. Not sure I'd go back. And again, I will say our server was fun, but had too many tables to be able to handle them efficiently but I still...
