Today started off a little shaky...After a Eco cardiogram and check ups in the area I just wanted a good sandwich...And who says you can't eat it at 9:20 am....NOT JERSEY MIKE'S...They welcomed me in during maybe a team meeting before they OFFICIALLY opened for the day...They welcomed me in like a long lost family member...They took my order, grilled my sandwich to perfection and even offered me a donut (which I wanted badly...but I have to control my sugar intake....BUT COUSINS I WANTED IT!!!) The whole team was so great...but three folks stood out...The young lady's who's mom is going through a similar situation...The other young lady that gave me a hug and made me cry...and the manager who was just as nice ..This made my day....And my sandwich "THE SUPER SUB" was EXCELLENT and made SPECIAL... It's shocking to actually watch the people here work. It honestly feels like they are all stoned...they move slowly, work on one thing at a time, and generally seem to be in a haze. For online orders, they literally have to read it a dozen times.
I ordered a cheesesteak online, drove there 10 minutes later, and it hadn't even been started. The grill had 2 sandwiches going, and the guy working the grill stood there watching...waiting...for them to be ready, while 3 or 4 other orders piled up.
When they finally made our sandwich, it was wrong (realized it at home)...no onions, no peppers. That would almost be understandable if it wasn't that way on the menu.
It was close to closing, but the place was a total mess. The floor behind the counter was pretty disgusting.
The sandwich was OK, so I'm not giving 1 star, but a chain is a chain is a chain. Time to return to locally owned sub shops where they seem...
