Number 1 Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Mount Laurel Township

If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. Tonight, we ordered two chicken with broccoli combinations. We quickly realized that there were mushrooms in the chicken with broccoli. My boyfriend has an allergy to mushrooms and began to feel his throat becoming scratchy and feeling unwell. I immediately called the restaurant to confirm if they use mushrooms in their chicken with broccoli and if this was posted as an ingredient on their menu. The owner stated they did not list mushroom as an ingredient on their menu. I then explained that my boyfriend has an allergy and I was told that I should have asked if they have mushrooms in their food. I have eaten at multiple Chinese restaurants and buffets and I have NEVER had mushrooms in chicken with broccoli. Instead of the owner taking responsibility, he displaced the blame and stated that we should have asked if there were mushrooms used. We have never eaten at this particular restaurant or received chicken with broccoli with mushrooms, so it was not a thought to ask. The owner stated that he did not list every ingredient and that his menu was not a “newspaper” so it will not have every detail. I am completely disgusted with the lack of regard for safety and concern. Luckily, my boyfriend has a moderate allergy, but had it been more severe he could have been killed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Additionally, please be aware that there are mushrooms used in the chicken with broccoli!

The photo below shows the menu and it lists NOTHING ABOUT VEGETABLES! There is no inclination of the need to ask about mushrooms. I am absolutely livid and will be reporting this business...

Ordered a four piece chicken wings and a pint of chicken and broccoli. I’m very happy I ordered from this place I’m new to the area and didn’t want to drive all the way to my normal spot. I looked up a few different places and felt like they were all outrageously priced in this area, I really did not feel like cooking and was having a long day so decided to go with this spot because it was the best price compared to the places around. the chicken and broccoli was very good. The chicken wings were whole chicken wings not those little half wings, which I was happy about and the service was very quick within 15-20 minutes of ordering. I was impressed that they stayed open so late. We were staying in a hotel near by and was craving Chinese, this restraunt didn't disappoint!

We walked in to place our orders therefore we had to wait, unfortunately there was no seating available.

There was a lot of boxes and empty containers where seats could have been.

I ordered fried chicken wings with pork fried rice. The chicken was fried to perfection, the rice had plenty of chicken and was well seasoned.

My husband ordered the spare rib combo which came with fried rice and an egg roll. He said the ribs were 10/10
