Although I am not too certain of the time-frame of our visits with the exception of the one I am reviewing now I know that it was probably close to two years ago that my daughter and I were in Vineland and decided to stop at the Bob Evans Restaurant down there. Since she was not here yet when my wife, older daughter and I visited the Bob Evans Farm in Ohio back in 1994 and since we were not in Vineland that often at dinner time unless we had plans to go somewhere else, she had no idea as to what a Bob Evans was like. After dinner she told me she had a good meal and thought the restaurant was nice and asked if it could be "our special place to eat". I of course said yes as it did bring back memories of our vacation she was not on but was in the works which in itself has a lot of good memories. A couple months after our first visit she asked one night if we could go back but upon arrival we noticed the restaurant was boarded shut. This was of course quite disappointing since it meant we had to go to another place down there. Back in the fall of last year I had to go to Mt. Laurel for a medical procedure almost right across the highway from the Bob Evans that although I knew it was there I did not think of it when our "local" one was found to be closed. Since my first trip up there was to meet with the doctor prior to coming back for the procedure my daughter was not with me but when I came back for the treatment she was. She was quite surprised when after the doctors visit we went to get some lunch and pulled into the parking lot of Bob Evans since she did not know there were any others anywhere. We had a good meal and were well taken care of by the young lady who served us our meal and even told us she had actually transferred from Vineland and was also sad to see it close. I don't know that I will now classify this as being "our special place" but I am sure that when we are in the area and need a meal we will more than...
Read moreThe food was delicious, portions were filling. My hubs got the whole hog, he fell in love all over again with breakfast😉, my son had a stack🥞of light deliciousness with real bacon not that wimpy you can see the newspaper through facon. I had soup,a sammich with a biscuit. My word that biscuit, oh my that biscuit rivals my own that I make from scratchThe first two times we went we had an awesome waitress she was so kind, friendly and patient. Third time our waitress was terrible, she acted irritated, like when I asked for sugar for my coffee I was bothering her, she didn't deliver our food nor did she come ask us if we needed anything or if things were alright. I'm very understanding with waitstaff bc I know what you're dealing with, ppl can be aggressively rude, demeaning expecting to be treated like royalty, we're not of that ilk. When we saw her at the end of the meal, that's when she smiled her brightest, went got take home trays immediately she became fakely friendly. The young black male server who was waiting on his own customers heard me tell my husband "she didn't bring us a bag to go even though she did it for the prior two tables I said let's get out of here." This young man went to get us a bag then apologized for her demeanor. I appreciate him waiting on us, him apologizing for her bad service (I had to wait 10 min for her to bring back sugar, then our food came no cutlery, napkins or salt I asked another server for it who said, let me get your server over here. I heard her tell her your customers need assistance she stood at counter waited 6 minutes for two plates took them to other side THEN came to us). We will be going this morning, it will not deter us, I just know I will NOT have her be our server! that said Hey Bob, we're omw,...

Where do I even start?
A 15 minute wait before anyone finally decided to talk over to the 6 families waiting in the lobby to be seated. Then another 15 minutes after being put on a waiting list.
When we were ready to order the waitress was ridiculously rude and impatient. IT WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME AT THIS PLACE. After dealing with her attitude, we finally put in an order and asked her to make sure there was NO BACON.
Waiting for our remicrowavable breakfast, I noticed how fifty the place was. The kitchen is NASTY. If you go here, look under their kitchen counters...just nasty!
Our "food" comes and it was disgusting. Chicken tenders were dried out and stale, steak? Ha! What steak, but this little piece of meat I reiceved looked wretched. My wife's salad had bacon in it and we just had enough.
I called the waitress over and told her very nicely that my wife did not like her meal at all. She took a few bites of the salad and 1 bite of her sandwich. It was bad. Then I showed the waitress the piece of bacon.
instead of apologizing and taking that meal off of my bill she DEFENDED IT and said the food was fine and that she won't remove it.
I asked for the manager and she didn't want to see the meal or food we ordered. Waited another 20minutes until the waitress handed me a bill with $2 off... that was my discount... waited another 15 minutes to speak with manager and she finally took off my wife's meal that she didn't eat after basically an hour of waiting and arguing.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO CRACKLE BARROW. They know how to serve good food with a smile. They once served me my food after 45 minutes due to short staff and the manager came over and took care of the bill herself after seeing us being annoyed. THAT IS...
