Let's start by saying this was a last minute trip and I will never stay here again!!! The elevator floors were dirty and the panel in the second elevator was chipping at the bottom. The first room that were in was decent but the smell was horrible!! It had a stench as soon as you walked in the door. It smell like smoke and was unbearable. You couldn't stay in the room. I called downstairs to the receptionist to see if had any air freshener. I was told that I could come and get it but will need to bring back because it was just for the front desk. When I got to the front desk I explain what was going on. She said "Oh I'm sorry" but the way she acted was like it wasn't a big deal. I was too tired from traveling to deal with it. Advised the air quality in the hallway was better then the room that I was in. The receptionist asked if we had used anything in the room. If we hadn't she could change our room. Advised the only thing that I had done was turn on the tv. She provided me with a different room. The second room was horrible!! It needs a lot of upgrading. The first room was upgraded a lot better!! To start the second room top lock wasn't secure. Someone could have clearly pushed hard enough and it would have open!! The only thing that would stop anyone would have been because the bottom lock was working. I didn't feel bad because my fiancé was in the room with me but if I had been by myself I would feel comfortable. The second room bathroom had yellow stains in the tub from the hard water. The tub wasn't white anymore, it was a dingy yellowish color from the hard water and not clean properly. The tile floors in the bathroom had several cracks. The bathroom door looked like a non professional painted the door. Whoever painted didn't take their time and needed to add several more coats of paint. The paint was chipping from the bathroom doors. The walls in the bathroom had chipped paint. The bathroom mirror had paint droppings on the frame. The hangers in the closet had paint all over them and dust. I couldn't call downstairs to let the front desk know because the phone didn't worked. It was not a phone jack connected to the phone!! I was tired from traveling and wasn't going back downstairs to let them know. The only decent thing in the room was the bed. I just need a decent night of sleep. The furniture in the second room wasn't like the first room. You can tell it hadn't been upgraded in a while. The building next door could still see into our room with the blinds closed. I didn’t say anything to the receptionist at check-out because it was the same person. I felt if she didn’t do anything when I first went there then she wasn’t going to do anything at check out. When I check-out she didn’t ask how was the stay. The only thing that was asked it I needed a receipt. The customer services needs to be worked on.

First night - specs of menstrual blood on top cover. Replaced at the front desk. The second night, my sister pulled back her bedding based on what occurred the previous night to discover a large stain of what appeared to be menstrual blood but the hotel later claimed was coffee. Please note: housekeeping "cleaned" the room earlier on this day. This bedding NEVER should have left their laundry room. When I complained, I was offered 20% off one night. The hotel also proceeded to lecture me that "There should be no need for guests to pull back or dig through the deeper layers of bedding." I pull back the sheets wherever I go and soray bedding down with Lysol. We moved rooms. In this case, I requested a refund for one night of my stay based on the how disgusting this experience was. The hotel refused. Rather than try to win me back as a customer they offered a 20% discount on one night of my stay. You get what you pay for. In this case, you as a consumer must make an informed decision about whether staying in an unsanitary "budget" hotel is worth the savings. It's not when the hotel management, who refused to sign their name on any of the emails, does not try to rectify a situation. Update: I'm not sure why the images that I added are not showing up but hopefully they will soon. One more update, I should have read other reviews first. I saw another that referenced blood. This hotel franchise owner/company and management team clearly could care less about negative reviews. I guess they figure if we're dumb enough to stay there, then their pockets will stay full. Definitely my mistake that I won't make again when I return to the area. Update: Regarding the hotel's response to this review about the 20% discount, please note, my feedback is in response to the Manager, GM or franchise owner who did not sign their name when they responded to my original complaint although I asked for a name. I am not referring to the staff, I am referring to an upper level person that did not have the courage to sign their correspondence. Whether the night was a high demand night, or not, we corresponded afterwards and the 20% discount is insufficient. As I also mentioned in my email, unless your cleaning staff is certified by the New Jersey Board of Health or OSHA, I do not accept assumptions as to what the stain was or wasn't. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

If you like a freezer packed with frost and gunk, a shower with empty shampoo and conditioner, a shower with hair in the drain and a shower curtain that gets water all over the bathroom floor, walls in bathroom that are dirty-ish, beds that are extremely uncomfortable, halls smell like marijuana, all for weekday price of $95+/-, $125 weekend price, then this is the place for you. Last time I was here was 2yrs ago and was moving to a different state. It was the best place and turned me on to comfort inns everywhere I travel. Since that time, so I was told, there were different owners. That is no excuse for such a terrible room. It looked as if the room was made-ready except that no one touched the bathroom. To say this was everything less than a 3-star experience, is an understatement. They changed the price to a higher price while I was standing there right before I was going to swipe my payment card. Blamed it on the boss suddenly changing it because yhere were a lot of guests. More guests = bigger price. WILL NEVER EVER COME TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. May even make me 2nd guess other locations as well. Hope the pics provided show the detail of what I am talking about...

*EDIT: look at the response from the manager: absolutely terrible. As a manager you should be ashamed of yourself writing what you wrote if a guest has a complaint you don’t say they’re wrong just to try and look better I also now have to file a dispute because you can’t even properly refund the deposit you TOOK THE MONEY OUT instead of refunding it and try and say you refunded it no you didn’t I’ve been in contact with my bank that also said you took the money out. Don’t stay at this place the manager clearly will defend the hotel and tell you not to expect a cleanly or good stay because of a discounted price LOL shame shame shame on you!!!!! (Not sure why my name is coming up incorrect my name is Corey Jaffe I stayed at this place September 2nd 2025)

From start to finish this place was absolutely horrible. I called the number listed on the website to ask about a deposit and he assured me several times there’s no deposit. I get to the hotel driving all the way from New York and they give me a hard time about the deposit. I then go to my room and realize the tv isn’t working so I go back to the front desk to ask for help and the girl couldn’t care less she said “I’ll send someone to your room” NEVER HAPPENED… I flipped the tv around and what do you know the wiring isn’t connected and there’s trash behind the tv. I have a cleaning business and I’m mortified how disgusting and dirty this place was. I could not sleep at all I was about to get up and leave around midnight because I could hear the person next me TV blasting and the person on top of me sounded like they were moving furniture and banging around all night on top of the most disturbing noise which sounded like frogs ribitting. Even at 5 am when I usually wake up I heard the guys TV blasting and that frog noise. The bathroom and sink and mirror were absolutely filthy I was so skeeved out. On top of that I’m pretty sure I got bed bug bites all over my legs. I am so disgusted and so upset I spent my hard earned money on this place. The whole experience was so terrible I’ll never be back and on top of that I will let people know not to come back here because I’m sure a manager won’t even contact me about this review because I asked for a simple thing to help with the TV and the woman at the front desk could care less and didn’t believe me it wasn’t working when I was absolutely right the TV was unplugged from the wiring...
