This Wendy's is one of the best Wendy's I have ever been to. I will describe my entire remarkable experience with the enjoyable staff and incredible food.
Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, fast food has been growing in popularity. Living in Mount Olive, there are lots of great food options, ranging from Chinese food to several pizza places. I live on the coast of Budd Lake and can see the water from my house. My favorite time of day is watching the beautiful, golden sunset go down over the horizon, highlighting the rim of the clouds with a charming orange. The calm ripple of the lake through the summer breeze carries the smell of water with a tint of sewage throughout the highway. It's almost like the ocean, just in a suburban area. The soft rumble of car engines at the stoplight near CVS can be heard throughout the area.
My childhood was not easy. I was born in Michigan but moved to Budd Lake at a young age after my father and mother divorced. The breakup was messy, and I still remember the yells of my parents behind closed doors. We rarely went on vacation or out to eat, I mostly just remember my mother's checks being spent on alcohol, rather than food. I would often ask my mother, 'why can't we buy a new dress? Laura has just gotten a new dress herself.' Or, 'can we go to a restaurant tonight? A new Wendy's has just opened in the city?' She would barely respond, just looking at me, eyes filled with sorrow and tired with dread.
My mother has remarried, and I live as a young adult with her and my step-father. Though my new step-father can never replace my birth father, I do like him a lot more. He's charismatic and obviously cares about my mother, which is already a step up from her previous relationship. He has brown hair with streaks of grey, now which has receded above his forehead due to his old age. Though I am fully grown, I still am not as tall as him. My step-father works as a carpenter, despite going to Moravian College in PA and majoring in psychology. I assume his major didn't benefit him in the real world, as he only works blue-collar jobs. The job he works is reflected in his attire, consisting of mostly blue flannel shirts and denim jeans. A brown Carhartt coat is also one of his favorite jackets.
With my mother's new marriage, our financial situation has improved. Now, we live as a middle-class family in this quaint little town. I enjoy our life but have always wanted to move to the big city. The busy lights and chaos have always been so endearing to me. I sometimes feel trapped with the locals; nothing really happens in safe little Budd Lake. However, I am blessed to be moved from the awfully wide but vacant fields of Michigan.
I still have trouble making friends. My elementary school years were often spent sitting alone and being hostile towards my peers, I assume because of my toxic home life. After we moved, Mount Olive Middle School was not much of an improvement. It was incredibly controlled, to the point where it felt more of a jail than a school to express and explore. However, kids my age seemed to be more willing to make friends. I remember this one girl, Sophia, was probably my closest friend. She was in a few of my classes, and we would sit together at lunch and recess. She was my first kiss, behind the tree in the bus lot. I was taken aback, and turned my back on her, as the idea of two girls kissing was foreign to me. My father had been homophobic, and would often express it, rooting the idea of a sinner in my young head. I didn't see Sophia after that and was told later that she had moved, and the day she had kissed me would be the last day we would see each other.
I got into a bad car accident my senior year, driving home from school during the last week of senior year. In turn, I was in a coma for about 4 months and suffered memory loss for my past four years. People tried to get me to remember who I was in high school but to no avail. I seem to be running out of character in my review, so I will attach photos...
Read moreLet me start by saying that looks are definitely deceiving. The first thing that catches my eye on the take out delivery app, a Wendys Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheese Burger. I mean, it doesn’t just sound great, it looked great in the photo. So that was it. My mind was already made up. I was so excited I ordered a Triple. And with it a side of chili cheese fries.
In short read without detail the following was left out or incorrectly made:
-No Beer and Cheese sauce on burger
-Hardly any Smokey Jalapeño Sauce (I almost thought there was no sauce because I could barely taste it)
-Only A few small pieces of the Onion Rings that go in the burger
-No cheese sauce on Chili Cheese fries. Shredded Cheese was put when the directions specifically said No shredded cheese, and asked for Cheese sauce.
First the fries... : The receipt said no shredded cheese. -No-... as in none, without. But some how instead of the cheese sauce I asked for I got the shredded cheese I said no to on my chili cheese fries. Fine annoyed already after 5 minutes of receiving my meal but I figured the main event is yet to be unveiled so I save my hope and expectations.
The burger... : Let me start by saying, guys, season your damn meat it is so bland it makes my tongue sad... Going further into it, my allegedly premium Pretzel Bacon Pub Cheese Burger was a disaster, sandwiched by 2 flavorless Pretzel buns. The burger specifically advertises Beer and Cheese sauce in addition to Muenster cheese. I never got the Beer and Cheese sauce in or out of the burger. I sub The mustard for Smokey Jalapeño Sauce and I get the smallest squeeze possible. It’s a triple! How do you expect that little sauce to stand out stacked on all that beef??? Literally it is as if the same ratio for a single was used for a triple, which clearly makes no sense unless you don’t mind serving a burger that just tastes like unseasoned beef... Lastly, the onion rings... Where oh where were the rest of my onion rings? I got maybe 2 or 3 skinny sad pieces if onion rings. Isn’t that a feature of the burger as well? Added texture and more flavor?
I’m sure this burger is supposed to blow minds, and I actually still reserve the hope that it can. But I need to know that when I pay for a burger like this that I get everything I paid for, including the experience of eating an amazing and delicious burger. I don’t ask for a lot. The flavor it deserves, and all the right ingredients according to what is in black and white.
Please get it together ladies and gents. I get the occupation and it’s limited compensation, but please do the right thing and follow instructions. Both the recipe and the specific instructions given by the paying customer. I’m sure you expect everything you pay for when you order out. ...

My tone was pleasant and polite the entire time from me pulling up. I ordered my food, I said I would wait for fresh hot nuggets—they came to the window and gave me cold nuggets.
Again, polite tone.. Kat, the supervisor started to get nasty about the remake of the food. She snatched the bag, and tossed the food out. She continued to shoo me away from the window, while I was checking my other items.
I assured her I was well on my way to sit in the “wait slot” for my food. That wasn’t enough for her, she continued to shoo me away :/ Very unpleasant and NASTY
At this moment I asked for a full refund because I did not want Kat or anyone else to harm my food or spit in it. Kay’s attitude was so strong and nasty. AGAIN MY TONE WAS POLITE.
She then asked me to give her the drink back that I already drunk out of in order for me to get my card back. She was withholding my debit card with the window locked and taunting me with it. Repeatedly telling me she’s not giving me my card while taking pictures of it.
Debbie then came to the window shouting shes’s not giving me my card either. Kat then took pictures of my card front and back!! Debbie threw the drink back at me. (See attachments)
As you can see the drink is there sitting at the window with the straw in it. And they still weren’t giving me my card!
Also I should include I AM BLACK! :) I assured them all I would reach out to the police and corporate about the incident. It was unnecessary for them to hold my debit card and take pictures. When I returned the police was there, and of course they were told that I HIT THE LADIES AT THE WINDOW AND SHE HAVE BRUISES AND SCRATCHS FRM ME :) Of...
