Herschel's Restaurant — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

Food is good service sucks. I went through the drive thru thinking it would be faster than going in. After I ordered they made me pull around to the back, so I did. 15 min go by and I still did not get my food. Then I saw an employee go to another vehicle who arrived after I did and give them food. I was soon concerned, another 10 min go by and still no food mind you I only have an hour for lunch. Then a lady comes out with the wrong food! I told her what I had and she went back inside. Another 5-7 min go by and i decided to call them. The lady asked what I had and what vehicle I was in and said it would be right out. Again another 10 min go by my lunch is almost up so I go inside and asked for my money back when I explained what happened one of the workers throws my food on the counter while the cashier lady gives me my money back. Today I had errands to run for work so I was able to pick a place to eat in Mount Pleasant. As I drove into town I tried to think of the different places that I had been told to try and I settled on Herschel's. I was not even sure what they served so it was going to be a true adventure today. After reviewing the menu for several minutes, my taste buds settled in on the Mexi-spud. Generously loaded down with season taco meat, cheese, butter, and freshly sauteed onions. I especially like the fact that nothing was over seasoned each individual bite you could taste the meat and then the cheese and then the onions individually for a simple potato it was very well done. At over 75 bucks for 4 people, I'm highly disappointed. Snotty waitress, got my order wrong ontop of it all, and frankly I don't want to wait for them to fix it. I won't return. It's also angering that when you order a bunch of burgers and meals for lunch, and find out they don't come with fries or drink. You think we came here to not have a drink with our food? I'll never come back this place is a joke. ps the fries were cold like everybody else said in the reviews. Not just bummed, I'm angry about this lame expensive service.
