So I place an order online to pick up it was a large order, I sent in my daughter to get it, they take 10 minutes before they give her the bag, when I see the order I notice it’s only a quesadilla so I ask her what happened and why they took so long, she said they couldn’t find the order with my name on it and that one didn’t have a name so they thought it was mine, so I go inside I tell the lady upfront that I got the wrong order, she says she will talked to the manager, 15 minutes later of me waiting with out saying a word just waiting for my food, the manager comes out she ask what happened I said my daughter came in to pick up the food under my name but they gave her this bag because they couldn’t find an order under my name I show her my phone with the order for her to see it was a large order, with out saying anything to me she goes to the back she comes back with my order with my name on it, I say to her oh it was in the back I thought you guys had to remake it, she said yeah it was I don’t understand why you had an attitude with me if I never said anything to you, I was so confused I was like when did I had an attitude did I yelled at you? Did I said any bad words? I waited here patiently for 15min + with out saying anything to anybody, she proceeded to dismiss me with a have a good day , have a good day , bye bye! I was so confused and frustrated, I left cause I didn’t want to cause a scene. I’m a big advocate for Employees that work with the public but this was totally unnecessary and uncalled for, did I mention this was my first time going inside of the restaurant, and my last time too. Very disappointed how the manager behaved. If this is how they handled their own mistakes and miscommunicate with each other I feel bad for the customers. Management do better please! BTW: they forgot my chips and queso too but it wasn’t worth...

Oh, you. I remember the night I first met you, the hopeful click of my keyboard as I placed an order, entrusting my dinner into your arms. I waited patiently, almost eager in anticipation to pick up my burrito bowl, showing up promptly at 8:20 PM. That's when the fairytale began to unravel.
You looked at me with those careless eyes and told me my order, my carefully selected meal, was non-existent. I pressed you, didn't I? Yes, I remember, I stood my ground, defending the existence of my digital request. And then, finally, you found it, lurking there in your computer all along, as you printed my receipt.
Oh, but the trials didn't end there, did they? No, the labyrinth of disappointment extended beyond just an issue with my order. You sent me to the back of the line, to watch my meal come into existence.
You must remember the woman ahead of me, how she sauntered away, her hands cradling the last bag of chips in the establishment. The chips I had paid for. The chips that were supposed to be mine. The hole in my order echoed in the emptiness of your "apology".
When my turn finally came, I asked, with a hint of hope still remaining, for my chips. But alas, you shook your head, proclaiming your sorry out of stock status. Yet you offered no respite, no substitute. The gaping void left by my missing chips was only filled by your hollow apologies.
All I was left with was a sorry small cup of corn salsa, a sad consolation in the shadow of my absent chips. And the final blow? No refund. That's right, no remorseful return of my hard-earned money.
So, you, my takeaway experience turned life lesson, here's to your one-star review. A souvenir of a night marred by misplaced orders, missing chips, and...
Read moreChipotle: In the burrito battle of fast casual restaurants two names quickly come to mind, Qdoba and Chipotle. It's honestly been years since I've had either, but I prefer Chipotle because I had it first. Back in my days at UW, my friends and I would hit up the State Street location, so it has a warm spot in my heart. The other reason I have to give the nod to Chipotle is I'm an RN and for National Nurse's Appreciation Week, Chipotle treated us with vouchers for a free burrito (granted I did need to enter a lottery). My burrito was comprised of a warm flour tortilla, juicy steak, brown rice, black beans (have to get my fiber), flavorful fajita veggies, sour cream, and extra cheese. Those of you that are into really spicy foods (unlike me) might laugh at this, but I thought there was a bit of heat to the burrito. It was tough to pinpoint, but it may have come from the seasoning used for the steak or rice. Since I don't come off as unthankful, I'm going to start with the good. The taste was fine and there was plenty of cheese. Since I'm on the smaller side, I was also able to get two meals out of it. Conversely, it was messy to eat (beans and rice continuously fell out), I couldn't find any sour cream (which stinks because in theory it could have helped ameliorate the spiciness), the ratio of steak to rice is way off, and the ingredients were not evenly distributed throughout the burrito. I really want to say it's Doughboy approved, but my personal opinion is that it was closer to just okay 😐. Thanks for the free...
